In this place someone Gerasimos (earlier he was trying to be patriarch of Constantinople) and Muhammad dug a well, and they dug it and on the side because the bottom of the well was fancy. And when the 40 days were up during which as Gerasimos said that Muhammed would fast and beg the God to give him law as Moses, Gerasimos hid himself inside the well so that no one would see him, and Muhammad was praying on the other side of the mountain having with him 700 his followers and more -which he had gained earlier with the actions of Gerasimos- to give God law to him, and he had and an unwritten manuscript with him, and while Muhammad was praying, Gerasimos under the earth beat the drum which he had with him in the well and those who were with Muhammad heard like thunder and it came to them as a miracle and they said "suphan allah", and muhammed went and threw the unwritten manuscript which he had with him and which he had shown to his followers behind the other side of the mountain and Gerasimus was ready and he took it, and Gerasimus threw to Muhammad a written manuscript which was same as this unwritten manuscript which Muhammad had and he went and hid himself in the well again, and Muhammad showed the written manuscript to his followers (i.e. that God wrote the manuscript and he gave law), and they believed Muhammad and cheered him. Then Muhammad, when he saw that they believed with all their hearts that he was prophet, said to his followers that he wants to make a sign in this place, that God gave to them the law, and let everyone take a stone and let make a pile of these, to seem that in this place God gave us the law, and they followed muhammad, and Muhammad said to them "here throw", and all threw into that well where Gerasimos was. And first Muhammad threw stone, saying: "tobismilay". And in this way Gerasimos died, because Muhammad had doubts about Gerasimos, he was afraid lest they should happen to argue with each other and Gerasimos would betray him. And since then they throw stones at this place.
