This must be one of the coolest looking minas tiriths I have seen. The lightning effects play an espessially big role to make it look so awesome IMO.

The thing that really made it pop for me was at 3:21 when you added the leaf particles. That tiny touch sold it.

The models are beautiful but I think they all had a lot of the same texture. I would definitely continue working on this and giving a lot of it more diversity, more human element, maybe humans or elves or orcs or somebody standing around, merchants, vendors, flags, etc. Also put a different character in as your main character. But what you did accomplish was very sweet! A bit bright in the lighting but I loved the cloud's shadows rolling on the plain and the dark scary clouds. Nice job! The model was very complex and the fact that you could render this is awesome!
@azhole3842511 жыл бұрын
Very impressive that you managed this in 2 weeks. Your models are intricate, textures are detailed, the particles were a nice add in, and the trees are gorgeous. I would definitely not mind being able to play this level on my system.

LOL at first I thought this was going to be a "Visit Africa" advert, not the actual video! That can only be a good thing! Woah I love the huge castle/fortress town! I didn't realise it was from LOTR. I could imagine having a huge 50 VS 50 deathmatch in this level. Not just the castle, but the whole plains and everything, maybe with horseback combat and other medieval vehicles, even those big "tree people". You start outside and have to storm or defend the castle! LOTR: Battlefield!

That was AMAZING!!! Serious good work there, especially on the whole scale of the city!! I wasn't sure whether the city would be small at first, but it is just the right size of what I would imagine Minas Tirith to be =D

I am a LOTR fan and i know decently good what Minas Tirith looks like, and you did an amazing job. Yet i would make it look whiter and less crumbly like now. it looks like it has been abandoned for years so that is my only problem with this version. for the rest: amazing!

To be more realistic you must also include some light sources,like small fires or something and also create a night version of the level.Will be nice to add some objects that people use like barrels,ropes,signs,stuff like that.This will make the city look more "alive".Something like a road or tracks leading to the gates,some flags...and a statue?!?i like statues!

Very nice job! Given this tool is free can you just sorta use it as a map creator. I used to make some maps back in the day for Wolfenstein ET and enjoyed building maps even more then playing the actual game, this seems like a full on tool so I wonder if you need to be a programmer as well to build something?

I'm so confused. I like making simple games. I use Unity 3D for about... few months, increased some skills for scripting, but I want to discover something new. So can you people tell me - is upgrade from Unity 3D to UDK good choice? And second question - in UDK you can make 2D games? I mean 2D but with 3D models, or 3D world with 2D texture characters. Please tell me!

@Heavychedder yea thats good for 5 days. I guess its made with BSP. One thing you'll really want to do is learn Maya or 3DS Max. I'm quite into Maya and I gotta say its pretty easy. Again just work hard and no matter what it is, Kismat, Matinee, Cascade, Photoshop or even sports for that matter, as long as you work hard with it you'll get good. Thats it really and I can't say how important it is to keep working at it
