Well, there are actually countless possibilities as almost anything could happen but I think Minato becoming Hokage was not a good decision. He is too irresponsible to me especially with the way he handled the Kyuubi incident showed how awful of a leader he was. He was/is not leader material. Orochimaru is a better leader and more charismatic than Minato. This is just my opinion as I feel that some events would have been handled better by him than Minato.
