Flying Raijin is such an OP move to have in your arsenal, especially since it never disappears. Theoretically an old Minato could teleport anywhere in the world he marked 30+ years ago in an instant, and I know he would’ve only gotten better with age

Likely would’ve just left them under every leaf, rock, stone and pebble in the leaf, while also leaving some in important places around the world in case he’s needed there. That would give him a gross home field advantage to discourage any attacks on the leaf because even with him gone he could instantly return.

Also, why doesn’t he just mark his subordinates then? If they lose the kunai then he could still reach them. Too many brain farts from Kishimoto makes this OP ability quite underwhelming.

What made Minato so dangerous and why he was regarded as the best and ultimate user of Flying Raijin was the fact that Minato had ridiculously fast reflexes and physical speed. Like, even the other Hokage were impressed with how ridiculously fast Minato's Body Flicker Jutsu was. What made Minato so dangerous was his genius intelligence and tactical prowess combined with his godlike speed and reflexes. Minato the Yellow Flash is what you get when you combine a Speedster with a Teleporter. And the saddest part is that Minato hadn't even reached his prime when he died. Yeah, Minato was only 24 years old when he died. 24 year old Shinobi with no special bloodline limits or special clan, becoming the 4th Hokage and acknowledged as one of the most dangerous Shinobi in history, with a flee on sight order. He was 24 and he teleported Kurama and was able to take him in a fight while also protecting Konoha. If he had lived 12 more years, he'd be unfathomably stronger and OP than he already was. Like he could've become the strongest Shinobi in the world, second to only demigods like Hashirama and Madara. Given Minato's genius, you could just imagine him mastering all 5 Elemental Styles. Hell, imagine how much more dangerous the already ridiculously fast Minato would be if he learned the 8 Gates. Minato died when he was 24 and before he even really reached his prime while Hashirama, Tobirama, and Hiruzen lived long enough to see their grandchildren so they had more time to train and stuff. Imagine what a 36 year old Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash, could've done. He would've terrified every Shinobi in the world. There's a reason why Kishimoto had to nerf Minato with death. There's a reason why almost everyone thought that Orochimaru would never even _dare_ try the Invasion of Konoha if Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, was still alive. Heck, in regards to the Uchiha Clan Massacre, it would've been impossible for Itachi to have been able to accomplish that without massive help from Obito. But it would honestly be pretty plausible in-universe that one of if not the only person who could've actually accomplished the Uchiha Clan Massacre solo would've been Minato Namikaze with his godlike speed and reflexes combined with his Flying Raijin. He would've gotten it done in like 5-10 minutes.

Even if Minato had the edge on speed, Hashirama's incomparable chakra reserves are multi Bijuu Beast tier. His massive chakra reserves, his inhuman stamina, and his self-regeneration would make Hashirama an unconquerable wall for Minato to fight against, especially when Minato doesn't have close to the destructive capability to actually seriously injure Hashirama. Hashirama was the type of demigod who could take a Bijuu Ball to the face with a laugh and who was extremely durable enough to treat being stomped on dozens of times by Bijuu as like a back massage. Hashirama was able to control all 9 Tailed Beasts while Minato had to rely on the Death Reaper Seal to deal with Kurama. So even if Minato hits Hashirama a thousand times, Hashirama's durability and self-regeneration would render the damage pointless and he would eventually out-stamina Minato. Besides, Hashirama has fought his brother Tobirama, the inventor of the Flying Raijin Jutsu, probably hundreds of times and there's a reason why it's Hashirama and Madara, not Hashirama, Tobirama, and Madara as the strongest Shinobi in history. Even if Minato was better at Flying Raijin than Tobirama, it's nothing that Hashirama hasn't handled before. That's not even getting into how Hashirama's destructive capability is hundreds of times higher than Minato's. Minato is strong and dangerous but he's not fighting _Madara Uchiha_ for days and creating the Valley of the End and causing maps to redraw themselves strong. So yeah, Hashirama would still beat a full potential Minato.
