she is such an icon for pointing out that if your makeup looks like that but YOU like it, then that's all that matters. I just think some people are too comfortable with deciding when makeup is bad and because they think it's bad, no one else should be able to enjoy it (lowkey also when fans say an artist shouldn't have made a song because they personally decided it was bad instead of thinking of the artist and other fans who might really enjoy it. RIP Sana and I loving Signal T_T) Edit: I just watched the rest of this video and this is the most I have ever understood makeup, and I've been doing it for a long time. Like, I feel like if I were a celebrity I would want her to teach me how to do a natural look like this (if I didn't have this video that explains it in such a natural way).

Agreed! I Learned a ton! And Iโve been doing my own makeup (as a man) for about four years. Iโm definitely gonna have my mom watch this! ๐คฉ

Are you talking about Sana from Twice? And the song Signal? The styling on that MV is incredible, love the song too! So much! โค๐ฝ๐ค๐ผ

Yup. It's really cool that she said that in the beginning ~
To all the newbies as well, know that contact lenses play a major role in the vibe of your makeup. โจ. Edit: Since some don't get it. I'm referring to colored contacts. You can tell it in her first look how bright and exotic the look is through her eyes. Whereas, the second look looks more elegant and natural looking accompanied by the eyes.
@DinkyInky2 ะัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
Not everyone wears them for fashion, some are literally to see with, and those change nothing about your eyes other than how much you hydrate them.
@badbeachishere ะัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
@@DinkyInky2 I know not everyone one wears them. All I'm saying is that eye color and brightness have an effect on the overall makeup look as presented. You can always do a makeup look without contact lenses, but once you put on one it elevates the look even more.
@Meep295 ะัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
@@DinkyInky2 she meant coloured lenses lmao
@lover_564 ะัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
can you recommend some colored contacts that are natural-looking?
@userales ะัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
@@DinkyInky2 theyโre clearly talking about the colored contacts.
thank you so much for the tutorial and english translation! this is the first time i've seen one by someone who has similar features to mine. the way you contoured your face and advised how to do your lips was very helpful. of course, as well as highlighting and blush - i always look like an old clown after T T this is super helpful.
@katharinavonwalde2222 ะัะป ะฑาฑััะฝ
ikr.. same!! and i always did my eyes like the before -! didn't know why i looked bad!
6:14 Itโs not really the brightness that makes cool tones look better, itโs your skin undertones! You can be pretty dark-skinned and still be very cool-toned, thatโs why all warm contouring would look orangey and dirty. And vice versa, cool toned shades of any makeup will look like dirt on warm skin. That also applies to blush, eyeshadow, foundation, anything) Warmer skin likes warmer makeup - warm pink, peach, orange, orangey red, warm brown, warm gold etc. Cool skin will look best with rose pink, cool red(the one with blueish undertones), purple, sometimes even blue but itโs tricky. It doesnโt mean you canโt use your favorite color, but specific shades of the colors suit you better depending on your skin color. The video creator is cool-toned! Thatโs why cooler shades look better on her, not because her skin is brighter
Love this! Iโve loved & worn makeup for decades, but especially during the pandemic, Iโve gotten lazy and stopped wearing it daily. Iโve been trying to get back into it, & have really gotten a little rusty with technique. And honestly, Iโve NEVER been great with lipstick๐ This video is so helpful, I love the side-by-side comparison & breakdown of exactly why certain things do or donโt look right. Iโve saved it for future reference, thanks for this amazing tutorial!
I appreciate the fact that you added english subtitles. Thank you so much! There were a lot of helpful tips in your video. I can't wait to try them ๐
The nose contour helped me so much. When I started doing makeup (German here btw) around 2015 the extreme American glam style was very popular, and I never understood why my nose looked so weird when I did the contour. The example with the contour connected and disconnected helped a lot to shoecase WHAT exactly made it look wrong (and also the shade, omg the contour shade I used did NOT fit at all xD) For the blush position I found my perfect one completly by accident. I woke up from a nap and my cheeks were sligthly reddish because it was very hot in my room. That way I saw where the natural placement for blush on my face is and used it ever since :D
