just make the ball in another geometric shape, like an icosahedron. you have to make them in a cube on a base. then a sentence on the base: inside the box, you have to think outside the box. Like i did at this idea 🤔

So is that material strong enough to use as a soft jaw in most applications or just with softer materials like aluminum with light machining?

@@derekbahner9619 It depends on tolerances and part shape/material type. You're not going to be able to hold .0001" in inconel using these, but they are especially useful for prototypes, organic shapes that are difficult to hold, and are very easy to manufacture. Alternately the Markforged MetalX can be used for just about anything.
