It's shocking and also kind of refreshing to see wired vocal mics in a church this big with production of this level
@brianisbrined925511 ай бұрын
@@TheRealJoshuaDonaldsonI agree with that. Better sounding, cheaper, more reliable. I'm just not used to seeing that in churches. They always seem obsessed with cutting cords. I've seen hundreds of dollars spent just to get rid of one 15 foot cord.

At my church, if they ever try to push to go wireless for mics, and i am still there and running sound/doing all things tech, i will push back hard against it as i have enough things to try to keep functioning(over 30 years old) that i dont need to add more complicated things than necessary to what i already deal with. That said, I would LOVE to get my pastor off of his wireless headset, since he spends his time walking all over the front of the church and directly in front of speakers, and i cant get it to sound decent while being loud enough. I want to put him back on a decent wired mic(which others use for annoucements and sermons and it sounds good and LOUD before feedback(but they also are stuck in about a 10 foot area). much louder than our pastors mic. someday, it'll die, and maybe then we can do something different.

This tech install has its priorities straight! $100k speakers (with $?k processing) and a $30k desk. Wired Axioms for the musicians. Almost no wireless! As primarily a musician who occasionally mixes FOH, I would prefer this over top of the line wireless everywhere!

@studiolebruno11 ай бұрын
Hi Isaac, we use IEM (In Ear Monitoring) so the drummer hears everything through his IEM, and the mix is done by the AVIOM system. It would be unhealthy to play drums in a setting like that without in-ears. I hope that helps!

This is referred to as a cardioid sub woofer deployment. The purpose is to reduce the amount of LF energy under the stage (behind the boxes) and increase the amount of LF content in front of the subwoofers.
