Every season has a different music producer, this year it’s Zulfiqar “Xulfi”. He also worked on Nescafe basement. (In this seasons song “Neray Neray Vas” you will see him reunite with Soch the band. You guys reacted to their Nescafé basement song. They Sang it with a little girl.) My favorite is Rohail Hyatt. He was the producer of most of the early seasons and season 12 & 13. My second best are Ali Hamza and Zohaib kazi for season 11 And even though they are last in the list they are awesome as well, The Band Strings has produced many great sons. So you can say coke studio has had 4 music producers over the year and each with a different styles - Rohail Hyatt - Strings the band. (Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia ) - Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi -Zulfiqar “Xulfi” (current music producer) Each has their own unique season. EDIT: Rohail Hyatt has most of the early seasons of coke studio on his own KZbin channel. “Rohail Hyatt.” The songs even have English subtitles. Miyan ki Malhaar is a great one! And Aadam from season 12 on the coke studio Pakistan channel. It’s has a lot of percussion.

I was waiting so patiently for your reaction. I enjoy it in a completely different light because of your immense knowledge of music and your appreciation and wisdom of the compositions and respective arrangements. Thank you for doing a complete justice to my wait 🤘. #Yedunya is a masterpiece and #SherryKhattak and his band #Karakoram are the faces of a new era in Pakistani music for sure. It makes us Expats believe that we have a great future of music in our homeland indeed! I loved how you both dissected each and every pivotal section of the song and I watched the video twice for that matter. The instrument / laptop With wave like hand motions in it is actually an audio feedback software that you can program sounds on and use hand motions and gestures to tune/modify/play tunes. That’s what they used; nothing to do with orchestra here. There’s an app called muse from UK along the same lines. I’m going to forward this brilliant reaction to both Xulfi and Sherry and of course to the awesome #Karakoram band too. They need to see the extent of appreciation and adoration this masterpiece of a work is getting and esp from knowledgeable folks like y’all. Fun facts: Xulfi is the band member of Call and have created masterworks not only for his band in the past but for Bollywood industry too. He’s a Pakistani musician. He produced and composed songs with various talented musicians in Nescafé Basement (kind of like Coke Studio). This is his first season producing Coke Studio and the changes you see is because of his take on things. Sherry Khattak (lead vocalist with the scream that reminds u of Chester Bennington) actually worked with Xulfi in Nescafé Basement first. Him and some other folks then decided to make a band, Karakoram and this is their brilliance that u see here. The guitarists and drummers and all are all part of Karakoram band. Sherry is also the associate producer of this season of Coke Studio. Xulfi brought him and his band mates over. You guys will see them in creating other great songs too if u watch Behind the Scenes (BTS) of other Coke Studio songs. This brings me to the point.. pls do also a reaction on BTS of this song! You will totally dig it! And this song is in 2 languages: Urdu and some rap in English. What you see written is basically Urdu words on top line, the same Urdu words written in English alphabets on 2nd line and then their figurative meaning in actual English in the last line. What Coke Studio has done is that they didn’t just translate the lyrics here literally from Urdu to English but they actually translated what it meant figuratively so as to get a proper context to the lyrics. Also, this season has all original creations and collabs. Usually in previous seasons, there have been remakes of songs done but this season, most of the artists who are featured are there for the first time and are mostly from the younger lot as well as the songs created so far are all brand new ones. Sorry for the long msg but I’m just that passionate about this song that I couldn’t help it. Thanks for reading guys 🙏

In the past they would have older songs and sometimes add additional lyrics. They would also have songs made for coke studio. I miss the nonlinear things too. The new stuff is good. But I can't see the musicians as well. When I think studio, I think of something very musician forward. Here I can't make out a single violinist's face. That's just a small gripe though
