Woah, so much changes in this ending. I don't really know what should I feel. Why six did that what she did and what now? Well this loop is crazy, little nightmares ending is just mind blowing. These twist in the end of video games always gives me these weird shock and satisfaction. So Six gonna continue his journey now and for the Mono, well he is stuck there forever trying hard to get out of this loop. A sad ending indeed.

PLEASE LIKE THIS SO BBS SEES IT!! Basically, the tall man is Mono and can time travel and this is what happens at the end of the game when Six betrays him. It's pretty much a time loop and the tall man that chases you in game is actually Mono trying to stop you from following Six and reaching the radio tower just to be betrayed. You're also probably thinking why does Mono keep getting these moments with the tvs when he's running to the door? Well,it's actually future Mono who is trapped in the TV realm and is waiting for his past self to let him free so he can take care of past Six and save his past self. The part at the end of the game where you see Six as a big ugly monster is actually future Mono (the tall man) trying to show you Six's true selfish nature by turning her into this after trapping her in the radio station.

I believe that this means that there was a time loop. Mono is betrayed by six, and is entrapped in the tv realm. Slowly over time he comes to the conclusion that he can use his powers to go back in time in order to stop six and thus he becomes the tall man/tv man. In doing so he merely wanted to save Mono, but his past self stops it. He tries to show his past self how much of a monster six is by transforming her into that selfish destructive monster, but Mono still saves her and gets betrayed. This may also show many children in little nightmares have powers, Mono controls tvs and six through various means (eating people) can absorb power. This also likely shows that when these children grow up they become powerful monsters, maybe such as the lady from Little nightmares 1. So it's possible that children, at least the actual living ones, are kill on sight. Maybe before little nightmares of any kind children became monsters who made the world chaotic and turned everyone into monsters? But these are my ideas on this game's lore. There's also a secret end if you find all the glitched kids which shows even more important lore, but that's better if it's experienced blind.

EXPLANATION : The Thin man is actually MONO who is trying to break the loop of him eventually getting betrayed by SIX. That's why he chases Mono( his past self) but in the fight with him the will power of Mono was more to save Six as compared to the will power of the Thin man trying to save his younger self. So, YES it's a TIME LOOP. Also, one possible theory is that Six is also in that loop and she might be THE LADY from Little Nightmares 1 with whom we had last boss fight! So these two children are stuck in a time loop. And they might not be alone! Now there might be various reasons for the betrayal by Six :- because of her evil intentions or because when she held Mono as he jumped she might have recognized him as the Thin Man or since Mono's face has some problems which are unknown to us yet that's why he wears a bag type of mask and also there's a fact that everyone who has seen Mono's face hates him so again since she had a good look at him in the end so she betrayed him as she might be scared. Well this seems to be a prequel as in the secret ending we see Six and hear her hunger sound and also there's a map of The Maw lying on the ground so then she would continue her journey to the Maw. Also she held him for such long time in order to absorb Mono's teleporting powers that's why you can see a glitchy portal through which only Mono was able to travel. Thus she absorb some power and then betrays him and thus was able to travel through the portal where in the secret ending we see DARK SIX and hear that hunger sound similar to the sound from Little Nightmares 1. Well, you can see the secret ending if you collect all the glitchy children in the game but I would suggest you better watch it on youtube, it's around 12 second clip. Then you will understand the context. But still the story of Little Nightmares ain't clear yet. We can just wait for Little Nightmares 3 to know what's happening in this world. Thank you for reading! Well not only mono is stuck,six will also become "the lady of the maw" or the main villain of little nightmares ,in the end both six and mono end up killing their future selves trying to escape their fate,but everything occurs in a loop and this is the sixth loop,you guessed it,and hence six got her name!! The shadow six or the hunger was formed when the thin man or future mono sucked six up taking a part of her soul with it,which became her hunger!!! If six didnt betrayed mono and the thin man didn't sucked six up,then the her hunger wouldn't even exist and the time loop will end,the only way! !

A boy named Mono awakens from a dream of a door marked with an eye at the end of a long hallway. He journeys through the Wilderness and enters a decrepit shack. He then frees Six, who is being held prisoner by the masked Hunter who lives there. The Hunter pursues the pair until he corners them in a shed and they shoot him with a rifle. Using a wooden door as a raft, Mono and Six drift across a body of water and wash up on the Pale City, which is shrouded by mist and rain and strewn with old televisions. He also encounters several glitching ghosts of children, which he can absorb by touching them. The pair reaches the Hospital, where they encounter the dismembered, mannequin-like Patients and the bulbous Doctor, whom they may kill by luring him into an incinerator. Mono and Six then exit into the heart of the Pale City. They spot the Signal Tower, which emits a pervasive Transmission that controls the Pale City's inhabitants--the television-addicted Viewers, whose faces have been distorted from exposure to it. When Mono once again tries to reach the door through a television, the spectral Thin Man emerges from it and captures Six. Using various televisions as portals, Mono navigates the Pale City until a ghost version of Six leads him to the Signal Tower, where he confronts and disintegrates the Thin Man. Mono enters the Signal Tower and reunites with Six, now a distorted giant. She becomes hostile when he damages her music box, but Mono turns her back to normal by destroying the box. As the Signal Tower begins to crumble, the children are pursued by a gelatinous mass of flesh and eyes which forms the core of the Signal Tower. They outrun the mass, but Six allows Mono to fall into a chasm and escapes through a television portal. Alone and surrounded by the mass, Mono sits in a solitary chair and resigns himself to his fate. Time passes, and Mono grows older and taller, ultimately taking on the form of the Thin Man. The camera draws back to reveal Mono in a room at the end of the dream hallway, and the door closes. If Mono has found all of the ghostly children, a post-credits scene shows Six encountering a shadow version of herself, which gestures to a pamphlet on the floor, advertising what appears to be the Maw. Six's stomach growls with hunger. Gameplay Like its predecessors, Little Nightmares II is a puzzle-platformer adventure game. The player takes control of a boy named Mono, who, along with Six (the protagonist of the first game who returns as a companion non-playable character), journeys through the Pale City to reach the Signal Tower. Like Six, Mono is not limited in actions. The Teacher - a sadistic woman who teaches classes in the School. She has the ability to extend her neck to great lengths, allowing her greater reach in finding and catching intruders. The Bullies - "students" of the School. They are living porcelain dolls that serve as the Teacher’s underlings. The Patients - amalgamations of corpses and mannequin parts created by the Doctor in the Hospital. They will ambush and pursue intruders in the dark, but will freeze if light is directed towards them. The Living Hands - severed organic hands from the Patients of the Hospital. They crawl like spiders to attack intruders. The Doctor - a bloated monster who crawls on the ceilings. He's the one behind all of the nightmarish experiments in the Hospital. The Viewers - the citizens of the Pale City. They've been brainwashed by televisions and have their faces distorted. They will act hostile against Mono and appear to often attack in groups. The Thin Man - the main antagonist of the game. He's the one behind the transmission and the distortion of the Pale City, and possibly the entire Little Nightmares universe. The Flesh Walls - lumps of flesh and eyes that are hidden behind the walls of the Transmission. They briefly pursuit the children after Mono saved Six.

Sharing my theory: mono was stuck in a loop. The other version of mono the younger one got self aware and he wants to break the loop by changing the future that's why from the very start of the game he came out of the tv. Then he met six. During the terrifying and nerve racking adventure, they saw the Thin man and they tried to outrun him but the Thin man catches up and captured six and he dragged her into the tower. Mono followed them and tried to save her but the tower made six a monster. (the entire tower was an entity which is the blobby eye thing disguising itself as a structure.) As mono destroy six's music box it was the time where six got suspicious about mono was the thin man all along that's why she let him go on that ledge. She save herself and went on the other universe where hunger exists.

The thin man was mono only so that's why when mono and the thin man were fighting they both had the same tuning kind of power. The thin man trying to save his past from getting betrayed...monk could've escaped but he didn't because he was very broken from the betrayal he got from six... as the light was pink he stilled loved her but as he growed up.. he wanted his revenge by taking six from mono so that he wouldn't get betrayed and the loop would stop. And I also think that six always pulled out mono from the TV so that he couldn't meet his future him. I think six should have forgave mono because he saved him but he was the only one to kidnap him at the first place, which was the thin tall man who was mono only but from the future
