All of Sydnie’s BGT performances are breathtaking beyond all measure, but for me, this is the preeminent one - it sets a whole new industry standard for this revered song. And what makes it all the more remarkable is that - as Lawrence has already commented here - the vocal arrangement was originated by Sydnie herself, in collaboration with, I believe, her BGT-assigned voice coach. Great reaction, man. I liked this version the best of her 3 songs because it is totally her arrangement. Now you have to go back and catch her audition, where she sang Tomorrow, and then Over The Rainbow in the finale. She has a great stage presence.

Sydnie doesn't sing a song, she becomes the song, and the song becomes her. No matter what she touches, she becomes it. That's why it all sounds so personal. Of the 50 odd million views of her audition, about 1 million are mine.

I have seen comparisons to all kinds of wonderful singers but what honestly came to me through her three songs was from when Barbara Streisland was in the movie "Funny Girl" as Fanny Brice. THAT .. character she played in the movie however true to Fanny or not is who Sydnie reminded me of.

I can see the Barbra comparison easily and also agree with those who have said they see Liza Minelli, Judy Garland, Whitney Houston and Shirley Bassey. I think Sydnie has learned something from all of them.

I didn’t read all the comments, so I’m not sure if somebody has said this to you. Which I’m sure they have. But you seriously need to watch her audition and the finale. I suggest you watch the audition first just to see what an amazing down-to-earth person she is. You will fall in love with her, guaranteed!
