Some would say he's a "Freak of Nature" a "Cyborg" , but actually he's the result of total devotion to his craft. Proof that "practice makes perfect" but he's fanatical about it, and a devout perfectionist. Think about it, develope the ability to make ones body ignore pain and exhaustion of hours of daily practice, make the mind refuse failure, and make the body do what isn't normal to do every time he picks up his sticks. He reminds me of competion Drum and Bugle Corp, Drum Line Drummers, Fast, Crisp, and Exact.

The reason why he has all these weird off the wall type skills, is because he is a self taught drummer that just practiced A LOT everyday. So since he self taught, he learned new and different ways to get things done without all the "normal" ways that may be taught.

he practices 8 hours a day. since age 13. hes now 27. hes self taught. he cant read music. and, the other day, there was a challenge qith some robot and he made a video showing how he figured oput robot´s strokes. he counts the hits on the drum, and was writing the beats with a marker on his left drum. it was amazing. also check his short comparing him with a computer. hes a god

You got to watch his video of his evolution from basically the beginning to where he was when he did the video. Almost the entire time he was on a pretty good sized kit. His practice technics were amazing. It was like he knew the future. Always isolated each hand so they became equal. And when he mastered his muscle memory, technic, he went down to a 3 piece. Its easier for him. He became this monster during the covid lockdown. He had a half million subscribers in a couple weeks. First year he played every song with a single kick. Single kick and used the floor tom as the 2nd kick. Seamless without any interuption to the rest of the song. Watch Sic by Slipknot . Search ...Sic drum cover single kick. It will blow you away. He's actually a lefty but left or right doesn't matter to him ! One of my favorite play throughs is Thriller , yes Michael Jackson . He throws in a more pop song every now and then .I'm a 70's - 80's fan myself . El Estepario teaches free lessons through Drumeo , started a new band , doing shorts and complete play throughs , helps develop the drums he plays , plays other percussion instruments and practices 6-8 hours a day . He's pretty busy !!
