How come your drum set sounds so clean? ...mine sounds horrible
@KCKung-hq5mu5 жыл бұрын
You should learn more about tuning, tuning is the thing that defines a kit's sound. Cheap kit can sound good too if you tune it right. Great kit can sound horrible if you tune it badly.
@Sausagey24 жыл бұрын
@@KCKung-hq5mu If recording, mic placement and post production and muffling also can alter a kit's sound. Don't forget EQ.

I think this is my favourite piece from the grade 8 syllabus, love the grooviness of it and your playing was so smooth! For my grade I did this, Lead Sheet and Dark Matter, I really enjoyed all 3 and I still play them often.

Hope I can do this some day, going in for my grade 3 soon and then skipping to 5, this piece sounds awesome but looks so hard 😅 I might be able to do that kinda simple groove you did at the beginning but my left hand isn't strong enough to do them fills. Great work 👌
@MichaelSmith-id8fw7 жыл бұрын
Leo skipping to grade 5, in my opinion grade 4 prepares you for 5 as 5 is so much harder then 4. I recommend not skipping but it's up to you :)

Hi, may I ask, is it correct to keep the swung 16ths feel for the bass drum?
@xyzmusicgroup7 жыл бұрын
I think it may be down to style and interpretation as the songs isn't super specific on feel. I may be wrong though. :)

@barrybbenson91514 жыл бұрын
I thought it would be the other way round lol. In my grade 6 Rockschool exam I played a grade 8 trinity piece
@Toyu674 жыл бұрын
Barry B Benson really? It was probably simplified. I did rock school grade 4 and it was about the same difficulty as a trinity 2.
@barrybbenson91514 жыл бұрын
Toyu I’m thinking of Trinity rock and pop, is that what you’re talking about? If so, I might find Trinity rock and pop easier because i find rock a lot easier than any other genre on drums
@barrybbenson91514 жыл бұрын
Toyu If your talking about Trinity “guildhall” (if that’s what it’s called) yeah that looks pretty difficult lol. I only know about it because of KZbin.. I have no idea how those exams work. But maybe if I do well in my Rockschool and Trinity Rock and Pop exams this year I’ll give it a try if I can :)
