This is a Mindful Meditation breathing I've learned 28+ years ago from my Sensei/Sifu: THIS SHUTS DOWN YOUR "EGO"(NEGATIVE MIND). Your "negative mind" is the ego/mind that SABOTAGES AND BITCHES TO YOU when you're trying to KICK YOUR OBSESSION OR ADDICTION TO WHATEVA'S YOU'RE HOOKED ON!!!!! Using your Nose OR Mouth in any combination or just either mouth or nose, it doesn't matter! Count every single breath, from 1 to 10,( "IN YOUR MIND" ) than start again. IF you lose count, than simply begin at 1 again. Example: Inhale: 1...Exhale: 2...Inhale: 3...Exhale: 4...Inhale: 5...Exhale: 6...Inhale: 7...Exhale: 8 Inhale: 9...Exhale: 10.........START AGAIN (1-Hour a day for a month, 2nd month 2-hours, 3rd month 3-hours, etc...) *IF YOU CHEAT, IT WILL SHOW BY "NOT SHOWING"!! By the 6-month, (IF YOU REMAINED TRUE.....WITHOUT "CHEATING") you will have melded your subconscious to your conscious awareness, thus keeping you HIGHLY PRESENT and by 1-year you become AWARE & IN-TUNE with your environment 360-degrees!! It's like having a SUPER-POWER and its easy to take for granted and become lazy after 1-year, like I did :( ( I took 12-years off, lmao and I recently started back up again!!) Good Luck, see U in 1-year!

Very great talk. Can you clarify the breathing stages again? How long do you practice at each stage or is that a cycle you go through each time you meditate? Also, can ou explain what heart rate variability means exactly? Thank you so much.
@jambodragon7 жыл бұрын
Lee Van-Binh thanks! Each breath will be different depending on what you are doing, as you can, I am doing it whilst speaking but I'm not measuring each cycle. When I am practising pranayama I aim for 3-5 of these breaths per minute for a few rounds. When I am meditating I do not attempt to control my breath at all. It's hard for me explain HRV and give it full justice here, but for how I understand it, it's a way to measure nervous system health, which is an indicator to managing stress, therefore disease. Please check out my colleagues at the University of Cape Town, Laurie Rauch who is KING on nervous system health.

YOU WILL TEACH BRATHING, YOUNG MAN, WHEN YOU CAN INHALE FROM YOUR NOSE EXCLUSIVELY. Learn the Bohr effect: the more you breathe, the less oxygen gets to your brain, heart, and all tissues in your body. The way you breathe... you have to learn the Buteyko method. Then only, can you teach about breathing. It is shocking to see that anyone can say anything without any knowledge!

How was your breathing as you wrote this Dominique?

Are you say by that your way is the only way? I want to appreciate your reply but I can't deny the feeling of aggressiveness that comes with it. Based on that, I don't want to learn how to breathe the way that you do.

new yoga approach?? ujayi breathing is traditional as it is in yoga and the hand on body part is reiki or hands on healing .....unfortunately nothing new
@jambodragon8 жыл бұрын
What I am suggesting is new is using the hands to deliberately spread the intercostals. This method of breathing deliberately encourages the biomechanics of forgotten muscles when it comes to taking a deep breath. It is not reiki, which is an energetic and philosophical application to life in my professional opinion. FYI- I have studied several different lineages and focused on the history of reiki, particularly how the original teachers had to make it palatable to the western market. I would also like to share with you that I have spent my career focusing on bringing more recognition of alternative therapies into mainstream healthcare. I'm assuming you are a reiki practitioner or have at least have studied it, I would love to see a response that came from that place. In the meantime, thanks for asking the time to watch the video and I hope it got you to take at least one deep breath. I will continue doing my work and I hope you enjoy continuing to do yours too.
