The secret of green corrector is to mix it with your regular concealer. I have a “green beige” concealer from The Saem (YesStyle) and it’s amazing. The makeup artist for NARS dots green corrector, then foundation or concealer, and mixes them right on the face! He’s amazing. ☺️

I'm always mixing foundations, in Australia, we don't get samples, and we don't get refunds on make-up (you bought it, it's yours!) So if it's too light/too dark, it goes together in my make-up drawer with others that are also too dark/light, and then I mix them together and get the ones that work together and use them up anyway. I always seem to have about 8 on the go at once, and of course, you are a bit darker lighter yourself when it's summer/winter, so there's that change too....

So enjoy your wonderful sense of humour. For the grey eyebrows, I use Just for Men beard and moustache colour. Mix just enough to spoolie into brows, wait 5 minutes and rinse. Lasts 3-4 weeks and the box will last forever as you just use a tiny squeeze of each component. I use the light-medium brown. My colouring is just a touch lighter than yours.

Hey Bobbie😊 I tried that root lifter too, and it was a bit too sticky, and it didn't do much me either. However, I did find a good one that in now my go-to, perhaps my holy grail. It's Kenra root lifting spray 13. I spray that (of course) in the roots and couple it with the platinum thickening spray 5 in the mids and ends. It's a fantastic first day style starter for me. I also like to hold my style with Redkin 28. Then, I can touch up with Kenra's platinum Boosting spray foam 17 the next couple of days (in-betweenwashes). Works like a charm. I had to test out a bunch of different products before finding these. I did find stuff that gave great lift and volume, but what makes these products better is that they don't leave my hair looking dry and dull. Anyway, if you've not tried them yet, check them out. Hopefully, they'll work as well for you as they have been for me.❤

The Neutrals in light-medium are too light in the "N's" so by the time you get to the next "N" it's too dark.. if you go back 1 shade it's too pink, yellow or olive. More and more I've wondered if companies have big jumps in their color ranges to entice us to purchase two shades. I have two shades of three Loreal foundations right now which is not like me at all. Hi Bobbie, funny about the dog/cat comments. I was thinking even if someone didn't want a cat or a dog because they wanted a clean home, there is nothing morally wrong with that. It's a personal choice. I think it's worth having our cat as well. But to get triggered about simply suggesting not having one to keep a cleaner home? I love this format. It’s fun! 😊 I know this is probably not new to some, but I’ve been using an eyeshadow that is perfect for my coloring on my eyebrows for years. I’ve tried so many eyebrow products and they’re either too dark, too orange, too ashy, etc. I’m a fair skinned redhead and let me tell ya…it is so hard to find a good shade for us redheads. I just experimented with different shades until I found one that works for me. Occasionally I use a bit of eyeshadow primer (a teeny tiny dot) in my brows beforehand for extra staying power.

I always learn something from your videos. About the weight question; I have lost 130 pounds. How I ate just became part of who I was. I don’t diet. I changed my way of thinking and doing things. Also, my great- nephew told me I should put some makeup on my eyebrows. The idea scares me, I’m 71, because I don’t know how to choose the right color. My eyebrows are both black, original color, and white. How do I choose the color? Thanks.
@MindfulMidlife
@MindfulMidlife 6 ай бұрын
Wow, congratulations on 130 pounds GONE! That's amazing Alice! I usually suggest matching the color of your hair that's closest to your scalp. You can use a brow gel to cover the greys. It's best to go lighter than darker. You will need to play with it a bit. The easiest thing to do is just before you wash your face at night, practice new makeup techniques. Nobody will see and you can play until you feel confident. Ask a trusted friend (maybe not your grandson - haha) to see if she/he thinks you did a good job.

@MindfulMidlife

Before you try a primer, you may want to switch foundations. I am finding that as I age, I need less foundation and light/medium coverage works better. The more coverage a foundation promises, the more it sinks into my wrinkles.

@@sandyh8755 I like that foundation, but it is a full-coverage foundation. You may try mixing in an oil to the foundation (just a couple drops). I also like L'Oreal True Match or Infallible 24H Fresh Wear. I don't use a primer too often, but I do like the Revlon Primer Plus Perfecting & Smoothing. Also, try using a dampened sponge instead of a brush to apply. Sometimes the brush just picks-up the dry skin making it look worse.

I went to Ulta to buy that before you answered. I looked at one of your videos where you talked about it. Thank you so much. You are so awesome!!!

Im almost 66 and I've noticed in the last few years that I have to be very careful what color I use on my brows because so many products turn red on me. I have a cool undertone but my hair is completely natural- about 65-ish percent grey.

But I would like to add that these are " first world problems ", so there's that.😏

Blow dry upside down, or use a round brush.

Well, I'm not a dermatologist so I would actually suggest you seeing one. I have been using La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Gel B5 on my dry patches along with moisturizer all over my skin. This has made a huge difference for me. Also, be sure that you are using a good chemical exfoliant that's for your skin type.

@@MindfulMidlife I love it too, and so does my 30 year old daughter! Some things can come and go; but that is my one constant. 😊
