HH the Dalailama and Tibetan people put their lives into Buddhism and kept it intact, hopefully credit goes to all the sentient beings 🙏🙏🙏 specially those who suffer from mental illness ❤

The BBC anchor hardly understood what Rinpoche has to say. There is so much of information Rinpoche provided but she hardly understood so she doesn't elaborate or delve further and goes to the next speaker.

The BBC anchor is like a robot. I don’t think she gets it at all, certainly not what Rinpoche said. Such a missed opportunity to delve deep.

Himalayan Bhudhism ? I thought it's Tibetan Bhudhism coz everything lingers around Tibet and Tibetan master for centuries.
@wisdombites3586Ай бұрын
Not necessarily true. Tilopa was an India and Kagyupa came from him. Assanga and Atisa came from India too and they started Kadampa sects. Guru Rinpoche came from Pakistan. These sects had strong bases in Tibet but these sects were practiced across HImalaya. Even 4th Dalia Lama sought teachings from Bhutanese master Pema Lingpa.

@wisdombites3586 looks like tibetan own branches are dismantling tibetan identity across culture and religion. After all these decades of tibetan hardworking. So sad .
@wisdombites3586Ай бұрын
@@taidelek9994 don’t think so. Vajrayana started before Buddhism entered Tibet. It was practiced in Pakistan, India, Nepal and along Himalaya but unfortunately they didn’t survive long due to persecutions by Hindus and Muslims. Tibet did maintain and preserve it but as such Vajrayana is not owned by one country.

@@wisdombites3586you need to learn more about the Buddhism practiced in Himalayan regions. We know Buddhism originated from India but, you need to learn why it is called Tibetan Buddhism.
@vajraheart6052Ай бұрын
Yup you hit on the nail ... it's not Himalayan or Vajrayana. It's Tibetan Buddhism. Yeah unfortunately old Indian Buddhism from Nalanda died about 700-800 years ago due to Islamic invasion and many other reasons. Then over 800 years ago, Tibet developed its own form, which is now recognized around the world and in best universities as being Tibetan Buddhism. There is Vajrayana practices in other traditions such as Japan and Chinese buddhism. So calling Tibetan Buddhism as Vajrayana is not correct nor complete. Of course definitely not Himalayan Buddhism and I know it's due to local politics in Himalayan especially Bhutan, to try to avoid calling it Tibetan and that's disingenuous and not being honest or correct. WTF is Dzongkha when it's Tibetan lol.

The anchor even didn't know the meaning of mindfulness. She seems to understand only the surface-level definition from the dictionary. It's very sad that she didn't understand what Rinpochhe said. In Buddhism, attaining a state of mindfulness takes extreme practice (6-12 years). If a person attains this state, then he or she is considered enlightened

The term “Himalayan Buddhism” is a misleading historical inaccuracy.
@SuretsangАй бұрын
There's no such thing as Himalayan Buddhism; instead, it's commonly referred to as Tibetan Buddhism, which is the tradition of Buddhism practiced in the Himalayan regions.
