Honestly, the way I see the darkness/glitch is it's a combined entity of the Joy and the Void from Gumball. The world they see is probably similar to the world Gumball saw in the Darkness episode. Potentially, this means Gumball could hypothetically break away from the corruption/darkness. But it would be no easy task. However, Darwin woke Gumball up from his Slumber in his mind. Hence, Gumball saying: "Darwin?" and "The Darkness, it's calling me". The part when Gumball laughs before Darwin gets there is when the darkness takes a twisted turn on Gumball's Personality (we can also see this with Finn).

Also I noticed Finn has a part of him left in the corruption which would make sense, at the start of the song I believe he is in control but slowly losing it and after the laughter is when the glitch takes over until he tries to fight back saying "GET AWAY FROM ME!" Also I noticed after the laughter Finn is really hurt. He's bleeding a lot. So I wonder if he tried to fight the glitch then gave the sword to Boyfriend after or something? If not Boyfriend may have just already had the sword. But either way Finn is still in there and he's fighting it looks like! Hopefully Boyfriend can break him out. Amazing glow-up of a song! ENCORE!

In the gameplay, we can see Finn having blood on his body. And in the trailer, normal Jake says that the place "OOO" is awfully quiet lately. That means after he got corrupted, his first instinct is to kill everyone. He's like the lich. He will kill everyone he sees. And Jake got corrupted because he wanted to be with his brother, forever. If you think about it, it's kinda sad. But if they get corrupted, you are cooked. An experience swordsman and a shape-shifting dog is enough to corrupt you or brutally killing you in the most gory way. But the one thing I don't understand is how Jake somehow knew gumball and Darwin like jake knew them but they do not recognize him. Does both of them have a cameo, appearance, even reference in their respective shows? Tell me. Make this the top comment so everyone can read this. Pibby apocalypse for the win!!!!

@mikeswagga01 i dont think Finn killed another video character or another.If you watched Adventure Time you know that Finn would risk his life just for to save someone's live and in my opinion Darkness doesn't send other characters to other universe(I think) Darkness is just corrupt the protagonist and then he has to corrupt/kill the citizens of that universe or corrupt/kill the trasspasers. Back to my theory,we see Finn still has some control like talk or face mimic and then I started questioning "Why is he at Bubblegums Laboratory Tower" and I looked on his face and saw blood on his face and hand(both hands) and im telling again, no candy citizens has blood on their body and then that theory just popped up in my head " OH MY Finn tried to firstly punch him immediately when he killed/corrupt his first victim and because he has a heart of a hero he wanted to not hurt nobody and he thought maybe Princess Bubblegum has an antidote for this plague,so he rushed Candy Kingdom (I think Darkness captures someone's body when he/she saw somebody) he killed some Banana Guard on his way and when he finally went to the Laboratory he couldn't find her and he just felt fear,fear to hurt somebody again and he has to think fast and then he saw something...the balcony,balcony was so high it's actually a pretty good spot to suicide,he approached to balcony but then he heard a noise,a portal sound and some walking sound. Finn was started to realize that someone is coming to balcony and he started to feel cold,so cold when he about to jump he heard the door opening sound and...he was in a void,pure darkness Finn realized that Darkness was in control and he has to warn the people who came the Laboratory so he just yelled with his full power and he said " * GET AWAY FROM ME* "

Okay, i'm just gonna state down _My_ head cannon, feel free to correct me because the lore is extremely complicated First of all, there's a bit of a timeline disturbance, why? Reasons [At least in my word's, bet there's more for True Adventure Time Fans]: Boyfriend has the Finn sword Finn has the PB Robot arm Disturbance: The Finn sword *NEEDS* To be Broken for Finn to have his Robot arm, IT'S LITERALLY WHY FERN WAS BORN, AND WHY FINN HAS HIS ROBOT ARM! Yet, Boyfriend has it! Here's how i see it: A few seconds before Finn sword would have been broken plot wise, Boyfriend comes out from a portal, just at the last second, Boyfriend snatches the Sword away from whoever Finn is fighting, however, accidentally cutting Finn's arm it the process, removing the Grass Sword's ability, whoever Finn was fighting runs away, Finn thanks Boyfriend for, somewhat, assisting him, Pibby also comes out of the Portal, Blah blah blah, you get it, Finn gets his robot arm later. 2nd I personally see the Darkness/Glitch as more of a parasite than anything else, and for 2 reason's 1. It can never seem to run out of itself, even when a whole lot of it is dripping everywhere. 2. It has been officially stated by the creator, AND within the Promo Video on the Adult swim youtube channel that the Darkness/Glitch can manipulate a host's body to become something else, but at least leave some resemblance to the host's original body. 3rd. This kinda pairs up with reason No. 2 in my 2nd piece of head cannon (and i know some die hard Pibby fans are gonna start correcting me in the replies, just hear me out) As i just stated, it's been officially stated the Darkness/Glitch can manipulate the host's body to become something else, with that in mind, we can't even be -sure- that the Finn we see in the Promo video on the Adult Swim youtube channel *IS* the Season 1 or Season 2 Finn, for all i know, *that* could be the Finn from the era of the Small Sword [Timeline correction if needed, i'm not a die hard Adventure Time Fan so i ain't much of an expert] and that's what i personally prefer. 4. The only time a host can take control, or just resist the Darkness/Glitch is when they don't follow the story in their dream-like world properly, they start to lose control when they start feeling drowsy, or in Finn's shoe's, cold. 5. The Darkness/Glitch can either kill you, or infect you, it basically depends on the character infected you encounter, if the infected individual had some sort of family connection, or a relationship (As for Finn & Jake, and presumably Gumball & Darwin) they'll infect you, if the infected individual didn't have any relationship with you in anyway whatsoever, say goodnight, you're about to either survive with a *Very* low chance anyway, or just straight up seeing the light. And 6. Boyfriend is the reason why the songs are happening, yes, it *is* official that he can only die, or get infected when he loses a rap battle, but i like to see it as, it's his ONLY actually weapon, and it's because Boyfriend has a *LOT* of plot armor, even when he's about to die, as long as you keep hitting those notes, Boyfriend will stay alive, and even WHEN he loses, the Player will just retry the song, or in universe, Girlfriend just rewinds time (Expect for a few FNF mods, like Mario's Madness for example)

I know the song is still in development, but I can't help but comment on this. It started to sound a level higher than its first version, compared to the merged version, the differences are not only in the presence of new phrases Fina, but also the instrumental, in the merged version it sounded almost the same if you take into account the beginning of the song, here.... It's calmer but also more bouncy, Fina's phrases... The phrase about the cold I perceive more as a coldness in the heart, well, in the body itself, because the infected are in fact just brainless zombies, corpses in general, and the replacement of the phrase "Join me Boyfriend" with "Get away from me!". It's just great, if before it was a call for inconsistency with Pibby's canon, now it's great, because it makes you realize that somewhere inside your head, Finn is still alive, in a word: Great! I will look forward to the full version as well as the PA update itself, I have faith in you guys!

I think the part where Finn says "Get away from me!" It must be that Finn still has a conscience and still has some control over the corruption and perhaps the forces that he is a hero and etc. Maybe he's coming back, but only a 6% percentage, and he's trying to warn his bf and Pibby so they don't get too close,.. So that makes me have a theory in my head... that there's a fight in Finn's mind, The Heroic Side, and the Darkness Side, and maybe the Heroic Side is winning, not for long.

In this mod fnf, from what I've heard, apparently in the songs "Mindless" and "Blessed by Swords," Finn has some level of consciousness. However, in "Suffering Siblings," along with Jake, he seems to have completely lost consciousness due to The Darkness/The Glitchy. It's no wonder he relentlessly attacks BF.

Part of me theorizes that Prismo would be the one who brought heroes from other universes to fight the corruption, he himself not getting corrupted thanks to the time room since THAT would be very problematic with all his power. *Moves his real body behind TONS of hidden passages and walls* Could even see that being a song BF Vs. So I went back to listen to the original Mindless, and if I could be honest, and no offense to whoever composed the original Mindless, but it really felt like a song that was pure build-up but the build-up didn't lead to anything. I think the focus was too much in the sword section, which while atonal can be cool a bunch of times, the sword noises sort of didn't jive with that song much, and didn't give it that oomph it needed. Now this changes things up a notch, not only on visuals but also on how the song is structured. The song starts slower, more melancholy, dare I say calmer but spookier, with a pause in between adding the laughter (and of course the traditional psych-out of the timer going backwards lol) But the part that impacts the most is 1:53 onwards. I feel like this is what the original song needed. A part with a strong beat, and a different structure in notes. Because otherwise, original Mindless was kind of... same-ish in most of its sections. All in all, this is really good!
