Dude, I loved this game as a kid. I actually just played it a couple months ago for the memories. It was made by the same team that made the legendary Battle for Bikini Bottom. I think probably the most beloved of the Scooby Doo games, and probably one my favorite licensed games of the PS2 era.

The guy who tells you to "get off my lawn" is Don Knotts. A very famous actor. He was the incompetent police officer, Barney Fife, in "The Andy Griffith Show". He's done lots of voices in cartoons, including a Scooby Doo movie from the 70's where he played himself.

I worked at Heavy Iron Studios (one of the dev teams for this) as a game tester many years after they worked on this. they had so many copies stockpiled in storage and I was given the task of sorting them one day when there wasnt enough QA tasks haha. it was well liked but i never quite realized ppl liked it as much until reading the comments

yeah, and doing that does require some cryptic solving (seriously i remember some of the tokens being especially tricky to get), and a whole bunch of backtracking to previous locations once you unlock a new ability like the umbrella, the suction shoes or the soap bar

Dudes this is one of the best and mostly fond Scooby Doo games ever created. I played it as a kid myself and was obsessed with it. I'm terms of fond games based on TV shows during that era it was right up there with Simpsons Hit & Run and SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom.

Oh yeah good times. Though I never got Battle for Bikini Bottom when I was a kid, but I did play the Rehydrated on the PS4 and it was really good. People say that's one of the best Spongebob games. But Scooby-Doo Night of 100 Frights and Simpsons Hit and Run were the two I played a lot when I was a kid on the Gamecube.

This was my first ever PS2 game so it'll always have a special place in my heart 😂 I will say that I never managed to complete it because it is INCREDIBLY frustrating and I ended up having no idea what to do, but I still loved it dearly as a kid!! it's so silly and goofy but it's ever so charming, and the mechanics and physics were pretty impressive for it's time! Loved the video, it really made me giggle a lot and was really nice to see you guys playing it and memeing the hell out of it

I loved this game as a kid! It was one of my top PS2 games I played. The progression of unlocking new movement mechanics made you feel like you were evolving for an epic ending. The puzzles, tricks, and challenges made me feel satisfied after I did something awesome. Love this game and would still play it today and hope it gets a remaster

Oh man I remember this game! It was developed by the same people that did Battle for Bikini Bottom. Both of them were my childhood! So many great memories with this one. I kinda like how this game has a sort of Metroidvania feel to it and a connected world between the three areas. Also you guys are lucky you stopped playing before the Shipwrecks, because they're EXTREMELY difficult to get past.

I had this game for the GameCube. I don’t remember getting very far but what I played of it REALLY stuck. The guy is Don Knotts, who is an amazing actor and is in entirely too much Scooby Doo stuff for any one person to be in. I love it! Yeah, the graphics make the animation a little… wonky, but it honestly fits the vibes so well.

This game was absolutely good for its time and I say that trying not to be blinded by nostalgia. Even the comparison to LBP that game was also pretty good (not so sure about the third) but it also came out a while after Scooby Doo. Idk if it's still worth playing now though. Also the ps1 Scooby Doo game Cyber Chase. I remember playing it on ps2 and I couldn't figure out how to save progress on ps1 games on ps2 but I still played it just restarted every time lol..

I love this game with a passion. It was one of the first video games I ever played, and I still play it every year around Halloween time. I am always impressed by the amount of detail put into it. You can see minor levels in the backgrounds of other parts of the game (e.g. you can see parts of the hedge maze from the docks around 4:23). This kind of thing is common in games these days, but back then, it was much less common.

I still have the Gamecube version of this game. So many fun memories and so many callbacks to the early cartoon series! The main problem I have with it though, and I'm sure you've noticed it too, the game doesn't give you enough hints about where to go and what to do, meaning there's a lot of backtracking and trial and error about where to use a power-up to progress.

yeah the game itself is pretty cryptic, but given how Mystery Inc. find few clues and cryptic hints on the case their solving, it honestly fits in with it, but yeah this game does have a lot of pretty annoying backtracking....so much backtracking to previous area's once you unlock new abilities

Seeing those monster tokens triggered like 1% of a memory of me playing this game or watching someone else play it(like my brother) but I was so young I can’t make out anything no matter how hard I try I can only remember a few of the game models (like monster tokens) and a few seconds of the black knight boss fight cutscene. I can’t see it very clearly but I know for i fact I have seen them before and it’s not dejavu because I would have been about 4-5 when I think this took place and it would make sense since that’s the exact kinda game me and my brother would play. Well I saw Daphne and Shaggy blink at 1:06, 1:11 and 1:20 though, and definitely were killed by Fred...😂
