A lot of people don’t understand the sheer basic concept of slower eccentrics and focusing on the deep stretch on an exercise (eg. when you do a lat pull down, you allow the bar to go to the top allowing your back to fully stretch which enables maximum muscle stimulus, therefore growing more than say 1/2-3/4 ROM). Great episode as usual.

A friend of mine whose son had severe autism and major gut issues until he was 10 years old, had a gut microbiome transplant as you're talking about, and this resulted, by the very next day, in him being cured from his autism and his gut issues. That's how powerful the gut/brain connection is.

Was waiting to turn left on a country road once when I suddenly see a car in the rearview mirror coming up behind me at super high speed. There was nothing I could do. My whole family was in the car and I’m thinking this guy is going to crash into us and probably kill us all. Thankfully, at the last second he swerves to the right, launches off of an embankment on the side of the road, goes flying through a bank of mailboxes, and rolls up through the ditch back onto the road. My father-in-law and I went to check on the driver, but he drove off. Twenty minutes later a police car rolls up as we’re talking with the property owner in the yard the car had gone through, and the officer says they found the guy a mile down the road with part of a mailbox post embedded in his windshield. The car was a Nissan Altima.

I started my weightlifting journey out with my uncle who was an ex body builder, doing Slow/pause reps everywhere. It was unbelievably effective, but also unbelievably hard.

My injuries stop me from using heavy weights. The weights I can use, I have to hold at the top and slow down the eccentric drastically. I still get results, but I don't expect to grow much. I can still build strength and endurance in a limited way. Isometrics still build strength.

Acromansia... For my knowledge it Helps the gut lining (the mucus in the gut lining) to get better... I think it eats the mucus and poops better mucus as it goes on. So I believe that it helps to heal gut lining and that's why it helps with the weightloss... I have heard that eating pomegranate helps to grow it in your gut.

What is the difference between doing 5 slow reps @ 135 lbs and doing say 20 reps at typical speed with the same weight? Wouldn't the time under tension be very similar?
