New Flying Monster Bigger Than TORUK in AVATAR

Thanks to their enormous wingspan, stormgliders can soar to incredible heights on the back of updraft winds and glide for extended periods of time. Due to its massive size, a stormglider lacks the agility to manoeuvre through the air with precision. However, when it spots an enticing meal on the ground, it will dive swiftly, knocking it down before stinging it with its toxic and sharp barbed tail. It is not uncommon for stormgliders to confuse rovers for prey due to their lack of intelligence.
Once a stormglider has stung its prey, it will try to sling it to a high ledge because it is so defenceless when it is on the ground. When their meal is too large to carry, they will devour it while protecting it with their tail from any potential predators.
As solitary creatures, stormgliders only stay in couples for as long as it takes to rear their young. One of the most perilous things to meet in Pandora's wilderness is a pair of stormgliders hunting together.
The young Zeswa put their courage to the test by competing in a race over wide terrain while a huge kite shaped like a Hammerhead flies overhead. Stormgliders, according to legend, frequently swoop down and capture kites-and occasionally the Na'vi pilots who soar them. With the assurance that this has never transpired, the Zeswa parents are pleased to let their children play.

The Leonopteryx seems a good bit more robust. It might honestly be heavier but just with a smaller wingspan. I’d say the leon wins most fights. The fight might kinda go like how an eagle vs a vulture fight would. Also I think the geographic range is down to how their wings are made. The leon has much shorter yet broad wings made for short, fast,and precise flights while the storm glider is designed for long distance travel.

Toruk seems EXTREMELY maneuverable, More than Storm Glider, That and Toruk just feels more aggressive than Storm Glider, So it has that "Wild-Card" factor to it like Wolverines and Badgers who stand their ground and fight back fearlessly against basically anything

Look at the muscle structure Turok has larger breast muscles made for long flight and battle stormgliders are built to ride the strong winds that in my opinion is why they developed tails to help in flight also the poisonous barb so I think it would have to do more with who sees who first and where they are

Im not really sure if the stormglider could easily defeat a great leonopteryx. It is stated, that due to their size, stormgliders lack in agility during flights, so I don’t think one would be capable to whip its tail around to actually sting a great leonopteryx with it. Its also not (yet) mentioned, how potent the venom is, so maybe its not strong enough to kill such big animals. Also it is stated, that those creatures are not very intelligent while Toruk is described as having a big, well developed brain. I think its also worth to mention that Toruk is an active aerial hunter, while the stormglider ambushes its prey. So I would say considering all those facts, that come face-to-face, Toruk would win. I think the eagle vs vulture comparison mentioned in the comments here is pretty spot on. The stormglider is still a pretty cool creature nonetheless and its design reminds me of Legiana from Monster Hunter

Tbh with an armor crushing bite i dont see the Leonopterix loosing to the Storm Glider to me this comparison reminds me of a Harpie Eagle vs somthing like a albatross but the only way i can see a Glider winning is if it gets the jump on the Leon and stabs it with its venomois tail barb but thats if it even affects it if thats the case the ensuing brawl would be in the toruks favor since hqving the ability to be more agile with a armor crushing bite will be the end of the Glider.

Toruks are way stronger in every way. Storm gliders literally are made for long journeys but combat effectiveness is very limited

My thoughts are that Toruk is a mountainous/jungle predator that patrols the lower skies of Pandora. The Storm is an upper apex predator that looks better for open areas like sea and plains.

Actually, Toruk is significantly larger than the Stormglider. Toruk has a 100+ foot wingspan. Stormgliders are much smaller and wouldn't stand a chance against Toruk. This is confirmed by the creators.

i think the stormglider would win in a natural scenario as it looks like a stealth attacker with its greyish blue sky coloured camouflage and its poison which could allow it to quickly immobilise the toruk.

It would make more sense to make the storm glider a scavenger, most vultures have longer wingspans and are generally larger than eagles, toruk is smaller but more robust like eagles.

@@mindq4328Hmmmm. Everything is ok but The Turok may be much more aggressive and it as an extra set of claws as it has 6 wings while the stoe stormglider has only 4. And the Turok’s Jaws and mouth is much bigger than the Stormglider’s. That only means a greater bite force for the Turok.

@@mindq4328 the avatar website thing is not always accurate, if you look at the scene when toruk chases Jake and neytiri while they’re on ikran, you’ll see how big toruk is compare to ikrans and if you’re in avatar frontiers of pandora game, compare banshee and stormglider and see how big it is. I’ve check how big the stormglider is and it’s slightly smaller than toruk.
