David Godman is an enlightened Jnani himself and Maharshi Ramana is within him. I must have heard the story of Keerai-Patti almost 50 times, whom David fondly translated as Green-granny. Laxmi-the cow and many other such narrations which I felt are directly coming from Ramana's blessing through David to many of us who are again lucky to have come under the aegis of Ramana's grace.

Whenever I listen to bhagwan teachings or read them I become still. No thoughts arise. It is so powerful..
@nahanng77914 жыл бұрын
So whenever you are not listening, you aren't still ? Then that's stillness is a mind production

@@nahanng7791 if one can practice enquiry moment to moment, he or she become still every time. That's what I observed.

Thank you 🙏 Truth always puts itself in our sights so that one can realize the Truth of Reality! If one identifies with the body a body must be in our sights to help us see the way to the Self which cannot be defined 🌹❤️

I am having the same crushing ping pong experience in my head, and it still has not let me alone, for over a decade now. The self inquiry is helping, but it even mocks that, and every word copycatting. Any recommendation on how to still this internal war . I have never seen anything so violent, and want me dead.

Michael James is another Ramana expert you will enjoy. Michael has a slightly different take than David Godman. Where David Godman believes the individual is a jnani, Michael James says that no person can become a jnani because there are no people!
@grantsouthard19736 жыл бұрын
Hi Moesy. Sorry to contradict you, but David doesn't think the individual is a Jnani. He frequently says the individuality disappears when realization occurs. He has a perfect understanding of Bhagavans teachings, as does Michael James.
@harjotmahal89855 жыл бұрын
They said the same thing in two different ways. There is no contradiction here. David Godman said it from the individual standpoint, as a concession to those who believe they are Individuals. Whereas Michael james gives no such concession and speaks from the standpoint of the absolute reality. Both addressing the level of understanding of the questioner.
@srichakrahubli5 жыл бұрын
Since the reality is beyond words... It seems a contradiction! Both are the 2 eyes with which we can see Bhagwan clearly.

How about us stop talking this person says this and that and focus on ourselves instead. What's the point of discussing other's opinions and never practice or experience yourselves and extinguish the questions. What's the point of saying James said there's no people and this and that , how does that help you or anyone but simply increasing a metaphysical intellectual curiosity.
