To anyone that has just done grade 5, this is by far the hardest grade 6 song, trust me. It took me months to learn it unlike stuff like pop it in the top, ziggy stardust and I feel good (I got you) which are some of the easier pieces/songs in grade 6

Are the fast accented 16th fills all RLRL? trying to get to grips with that right now but never tried playing such things at such speed before! any tips for that other than just increase metronome gradually?

Heather Higley Yes they are RLRL Firstly, try to get to that speed without the accents and once you feel confident enough with them, add the accents!

Heather Higley also look into learning stroke techniques as these are quite crucial to play the accents at high speeds. :)

I can play all of this song except for the accents on the 32nd note part. I can barely play that fast normally.

It's actually sped up a fraction, really not much at all, though! I did this song for my grade 6 exam and it was so fast... :)

Put your ride in between where you would have your ride and your second crash and then use it as a crash/ride

+Chris Wu No problem man, I've been drumming for about 3 years now and I know the struggles. I started off on a cheap mapex kit with 1 crash and no ride and I played that kit for a year before I got a crash and ride. Drumming can be sooo expencive so I've just learned to do the best with what I have.
