Allowing the subconscious mind freedom to program you even when you have the power to manipulate the programming is a waste. It’s like being the director of a film and allowing the actors to go off script. You are the director when you lucid dream. You call the shots. You don’t have to sit through something dreadful when it can be eradicated just by command.

I used to be a terrible artist... I couldn't draw to save my life. However, on my journey to teach myself i would visualize my art before sleeping and during my dreams when i realized that i was in a dreaming state.. I would exit whatever dream i had and sketch what i wanted to see and i would literally get better when in an awoken state. So now i can draw anything with crazy details. It works... And this comes from a qualified accountant by profession. Now I've moved onto digital art and design. So ligit i use lucid dreaming alot and it reallllly helps.

From where did you learn lucid dreaming techniques ?
@richardtjipepe
@richardtjipepe 3 жыл бұрын
@@Gaurav.P0 by nature im a very spiritual and intuitive person. Dreams and dreamy states always used to fascinated me. There was a time when i would activately write down my dreams, re-enter and finish dreams. But it all started when i fell off a building in my dream and i hit the ground and continued my dream. From them i knew something had changed. After doing this I would just do things in my dreams after realizing that i was in a dream. So it came to me. Never knew what it was really.

Listening to you, I’m realizing I’ve had this gift my entire life, but I thought everyone did. I’ve often used it to come up with marketing ideas and to practice new skills. The dreams also help me work though challenges that I haven’t quite recognized as problems in my waking life. I want to do the full quest to learn what else I can do with lucid dreams. So exciting 😍

Same! I never New I was a lucid. dreamer. Sometimes I can be awake and be dragged into a lucid dream and the next minute I’m in deep sleep but dreaming! I’ve faced most of my fears in my dreams and sometimes the dreams repeat themselves till I find a solution or rather conquer that fear. Yesterday I explored a relationship I was in that ended without communication and I was able to explore what the last conversation(if it happened) btwn me and the other person would have been like and this made me have the closure I needed.

I have always had very vivid dreams and often I’m aware in the dream that I am dreaming and I can exit the dream..... maybe go to the loo.... and re-enter the dream. Or if I’m not enjoying it, I can think ‘let’s get out of here!’ and exit. Often I can begin another dream that’s more pleasureable. I never knew it was Lucid Dreaming but now I know the possibilities, it’s absolutely fascinating! As a teenager I had a lot of flying dreams but when my sister and next door neighbours joined me, flying up and down the road above the lamp posts, we read about Astral Projection and realised that’s what we were doing. Thank you so much for this Charlie! You have such a wealth of knowledge and your enthusiasm is infectious! 😃

I started watching this yesterday and got so excited. I have had lucid dreams in the past and at one point tried to train myself. But I had idea of the potential. I decided I would be lucid last night and I was!!!!! I started to wake up because of the noise in my environment but I was able to hold on to the dream even through waking and it resumed! When a negative allergy presented itself, I embraced it and it turned in a very intriguing direction

So cool! Thank you Charlie for sharing! And thank you Mindvalley! I had a recurring dream as a child, funny enough it had a lot of spiders in it.... I would wake up scared of course, and I remember one time I ran to my mom and told i about it, and she suggested that I imagine in my dream that my cat Tuffy comes to help ‘save’ me from the spiders.... this was the beginning of my lucid dreaming.... I do not always remember my dreams, but I always remember my lucid dreams. And without even knowing it was possible, I have used lucid dreaming to help another through a difficult time, to help ease their way. Thank you again for sharing! I will consciously practice more now! 🙏💖💖

I didn’t know this was lucid dreaming. When I was about 4 years old, I had a recurring dream that I’m at my kindergarten and some of the teachers were mean to me because I was a rambunctious child, then one night as I was dreaming the same dream, I looked at one of my teachers and said out loud that “I am dreaming this” and woke up never to have that dream again

A lot of what you are saying about trauma work and this form of internal work is spot on. I am a recently qualified art psychotherapist and undertook some research into active imagination (Jung's technique) to investigate my emotions relating to my chronic pain condition. Lucid dreaming is not the same technique however it is about being conscious within the dreamworld/internal imagination. In my research I used art to make tangible some of my interactions with entities/personifications and seek to understand the messages. The main message was to develop self-compassion. With chronic pain this is vital as you learn to hate your body for the pain it gives you. This hate causes relational problems as well as affecting any motivation to move towards positive action.

Many years ago, I am 71 now. I had a nightmare I did not resolve. I was on a battlefield..of WWI. I saw no mans land..you can imagine what that looked like. In the distance there was a tall, destroyed building. I knew if I could get to it, many questions about my childhood would be answered. Before me was a trench filled with Japanese soldiers with bayonets on their rifles. I was filled with fear as I knew if I tried to get to the building I would be bayonetted. I was so filled with fear, I did not try. I have always believed that something happened in my childhood that was so traumatic, I had blocked it..even to this day.

Lucid dream where I learned to let go. Quit trying to rescue people. Was dreaming of being caught in a rapid flow of a great river. People were crying out, struggling, holding on. Resisting the flow. I was holding on to some drifting wood and going with the flow. I learned that too many times when I've tried to help others I've gotten hurt. This dream woke me up and stop rescuing. Those that struggle will not let go of ego.

Don't think I have lucid dream before. But I'm watching because I get this weird dream and it's not like I'm laying in bed asleep. It happened most of the time when I'm really tired and I would knocked out for a couple of minutes or even second as my mind then drift off into a dream stage but at the same time I can sense and still hear noise of the background like my kids voice playing and my partner walk towards me and then quickly open my eyes. Also this one it kind of scares me whereas I'm literally passing out and I see my partner face and feel his presence but then my body jolt that wake me up.

Lucid dreaming every night? I suggest contacting Daniel love from lucid dream portal. He is open to do scientific studies for people who claim to lucid dream every night. The reason is no one I his 40 years of lucid dreaming has ever been able to prove it in an actual lab. Either they were lying or they didn't know what a real lucid dream was and were just having vivid dreams.

So I've been "lucid dreaming" for as long as I remember, but it doesn't occur as an "ah ha" moment, and it doesn't just occur 90 minutes after sleeping. I'll basically start with a daydream that continues throughout the night, and it's usually just some story that I've created in my head that sort of plays out during the night. When I was little, I literally could not fall asleep without starting some kind of story in my head, because I didn't know how to sleep in any other way. Would this still be called "lucid dreaming"?

Simply impossible. It is scientifically impossible for a picture taken in a dream to transfer into real life.

When I fly, my arms are always wide open and I flap them like wings to gain momementum, or especially altitude. Sometimes I struggle to flap fast enough and begin falling. Been flying in dreams since a teenager. Had a lucid dream last night which led me to look this up this morning. I remembered hearing the term lucid dreaming before and wondered if that is what this was. I was fully aware I was dreaming but just observed what was going on for what seemed like ages. I don't think I even tried to intervene with anything. It didn't really occur to me to try. I just kept thinking that it was so cool that I was entirely aware that I was dreaming and that I wished I could feel like that in my waking life (since in my waking life I believe I am also "dreaming" but I just don't yet know how to detach, or I'm afraid to).

Hi there! I LOVED this interview! I heard it yesterday and I took your advises to start lucid dreaming. The weird thing was that last night I became conscious that I was in a dream but I couldn't change anything about It and It wasn't that real as a normal dream. Is It possible that I wasn't completely asleep?

Your lucidity level probably wasn't at max. Try asking the dream out loud for clarity.

Hi. Thanks, Charlie. Maybe your audience wants to consult the book "The art of dreaming" by Carlos Castaneda. As far as I know it is available both in english and in spanish.
