A Christmas tradition that my mom did with us, and that I’ve continued with my kiddos, is buying them an ornament every year. That way when they are older and out on their own they have their ornament collection

It's amazing how Larry bought up the postal cards topic cause this year, I moved into my mom's place who is 87, to take care of her and I found so many christmas cards she collected over the years. So I made a string of christmas cards as part of the christmas deco, now she goes to them and re-reads each and every one 😊 and personally I do miss the time, sending birthday/festival cards was a thing!!!! And Larry, going for Midnight Mass is the best part of Christmas, did it all my growing years except this year, as I had to be with mom! 😊 I was so thrilled when you pointed out these two christmas "traditions"😁

We have a few Christmas traditions like putting up the tree together, going to see lights, making cookies together and on Christmas Eve we go out in the front yard and toss reindeer food (1 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup glitter), and then set out cookies, hot cocoa and carrots.

Larry, I love getting Christmas cards, but I agree, it's not like it used to be. My husband and I are the same age as you and we used to get sooo many. It seems to be a dying tradition. Sorta sad. I am 45 years old, I still mail Christmas cards, birthday cards and thank you cards for everything! I also place thank you cards in my 19 & 21 year olds stockings, I expect them to always send gratitude as well. I am also an old soul, my nanny taught me to always sent cards.

Thank you for mentioning those of us who have lost someone. I just lost my son on December 6th. He was diagnosed with cancer on November 12 and survived only 3 weeks. He was 48 but losing a child no matter the age is not how life should be. I’m trying to be ok for Christmas for the rest of my family but I’m heartbroken. I’m cheering for Larry’s and your new baby next year. Prayers for a healthy pregnancy, mama, and baby!

Hey Ladybug!! It's 11:50 pm on Christmas Eve, and I'm waiting for my egg whites to get room temperature, so I can make my meringue for the chocolate pies!! I've been cooking sweets for the last five days!! Been giving so much of it away as gifts. Wishing we had SNOW. I would love to be in the mountains right about now. The celebration of the holidays is extended a bit for me, since my birthday is January 2nd!! Ya see, I was late for everything, right from the start. Lol A real tree has the best smell. Here in the South, you can find someone that has a pond and wants to make brim beds, and they'll throw the tree in their pond. I'm so tired right now, but I gotta finish those pies.... I live in SFL but from MI. Imo Xmas in FL never feels the same as Xmas in states that get cold. I feel like the heat and how hot it can get takes away the Xmas feeling. And def not as many lights in SFL as there is in northern states, not as much to do, no outside ice skating, no making snow angels, no snow etc.....all those Lil things cold states offer FL lacks due to being hot.

Oh I agree.............It shouldnt be like that but I get sad around noon on Christmas Day.Ive had angels and Santas at the top of my big tree.But my medium trees have stars!As a child of the sixties I thought Bell bottoms were strange.lol.I still send out about a dozen cards.The problem is the cost of stamps.lol.But I have saved every christmas card Ive recieved in the last 25 years.Its fun to sit and go thru them!

Hi 👋 I worked with cat behavioural specialist ( sorry not sure how it’s called in English haha) just wanna say that the more you stop the cats from fighting the more the fighting will continue, like it will maybe never stop. The cats “fight” for territory that’s how it’s works. If there is never physical hurt from it let them do it it’s there way to give each other the territory and communicate. If they fight and they are hurting each take a cushion and trow it at them they will stop . Humans see this like “fight” but it’s their way to communicate, More the personality of the cat is territorial more they need to do it. One thing that helps is to give them the possibility to go super high up in the house. This will reduce or even stop the fighting, build some shelves and bed high , they will feel more secure being able to be high up. Once the territory is clear they will barely fight or even stop completely. Feliway can help some cats. I know you just wanna so well by stoping them , but cats aren’t like us human. :) I had the same experience with my cats. They were fighting multiple times a day. Now it’s like maybe once or twice a months. Once of my cats is 10 and other will turn 3. Always make them eat together, ALWAYS. Also buy some Interactive games where they can search for food , use food had motivation to share space. Merry Christmas!
