That looks like an old mine. The timber is all rough cut. You dont see that today. My house is 120 years old and it is completely framed from rough cut timber.

Glad to find this video, I was there after thanksgiving last year by myself, was wanting to get someone to go back with me and climb down that shaft, don’t need to now. The upclimb near the portal didn’t do anything?

Nope it didn’t lead anywhere. It was a fun climb though! Still don’t know where the very end leads to with the bad Timbers.
