I didn't want a 7 wide 12 tall staircase like everyone else seems to be making, i just wanted a 3x1 staircase to hide my mineshaft seeing as it now located in the middle of my building complex and this is exactly what i needed, thankyou.

This works great! To anyone else building this, make sure you use solid blocks, even in the stair block that doesn't move by the double piston extender. It needs to be a solid block for the trapdoor to be powered. Great design man!

I used a lever and it didn’t work so I changed it to a button and it still didn’t work? The last block of the stairs doesn’t even go up for me.

Thats due to being on bedrock edition. Unfortunately this only works on java @Roji Roji Roji Roji and @zepos

when i put a redstone block on one of the pistons it only moves that one, it doesnt move two of them like what you did at 1:28. im on bedrock edition.

yeah thats called Quasi connectivity, a feature in java edition. sadly, bedrock edition doesnt have that

i don't play bedrock so i don't know. It doesn't have anything too complicated in it so i would have thought it would work. I suggest building it on creative first. It only takes a few minutes to build.

Apperently no. since in java edition if sticky pistons is powered on a 1 tick, it will either push or pull it, and bedrock edition doesnt have quasi connectivity, the feature to power 2 things with 1 output; that to be said, the trapdoor part wont work.
