Hey everyone,
This door will only work on Minecraft java
Today I wanted to share with you a really simple minecraft 2x1 piston door that is super easy to build.
This is a HIPSTER style piston door so all of the redstone is hidden underground.
You will need:
A 3x3x3 area
3 Sticky Pistons
4 Observers
2 Redstone Repeaters
3 Redstone dust
Building blocks of your choice
A lever or some other way of activating the door once built.
Recorded in Minecraft java edition

Dude, this saved me. I was trying to make a mysterious witchy tower that had no obvious entrance and all the 1x2 door tutorials I saw were broken or chunky as hell. This one is super discrete and hides underground perfectly to keep the tower smooth! I had to take a couple of tries to get the redstone right but man, this has made my tower that much cooler. (I also am hiding the lever behind a set of trapdoors that I'll surround the base of the tower with so people aren't suspicious. GREAT tutorial!

Anyone else having issues powering this with a t flip-flop? I have tried 7 different t flip-flop designs and not a single one will consistently power all pistons. They only power the first observer (top piston only). This is incredibly frustrating and I've never had any issues powering any other door design with t flip-flops.

This is a really cool hidden design, but has Minecraft any possibilities to work with transparent blocks like stained glass? Closing the door works, but not opening. I think this is, because transparent blocks don't conduct electricity. Can something bypass this property?

How do I do this with a pressure plate? I want the door to open via pressure plate that matches the floor (mangrove planks), and that pressure plate will be right in front of the door. Will that work? And question 2: I want a pressure plate on the other side of the door, so I can leave easily. How would I go about having both? I am on bedrock

Hey buddy, you would need to have the inputs linked up to a t flip flop switch with the pressure plate as the input

What a great, easy to follow video. I was just wondering how I could open/close the door from the other side of a wall. I extended the redstone dust to the other side of the wall and put another lever there, but the lever would only work if there wasn't a lever on the other side of the wall. Thanks again for the great video. It really helps me when you do videos like that.

I've never Seen a door Like this, all of the Others Doors were in the walls and in the ground it's Hidden more. Did you come Up with this Design?

It works with blocks but I tried it with iron bars and the second iron bar doesn´t seem to get stuck on the piston going upward, so it doesn´t lowers.

It must be a block that can pass on a redstone signal. bars dont as far as im aware

Possibly cos youre playing on xbox (Minecraft bedrock) the video was recorded in Minecraft java so there may be differences in how the redstone works on bedrock :(

Yeah this straight up does not work. Pushes the two stone bricks up, then when it goes to grab them back it only grabs the bottom one the piston is touching and doesnt even try to grab the top one

The upper block of the door isn't coming back down for me. I'm also finding I have to flick the lever twice for it to fully close when it works on the first try. Then I have to reset it. Any ideas?
