Apparently I'm the 100th person to comment on this video. If this is the theme of your Minecraft world, it matters what kind of wood you use! Spruce, jungle and dark oak are ideal. Acacia is also okay because its orange color would give the effect of the setting sun or a desert. You may be able to get away with birch, but at all costs avoid warped or cherry wood - they would throw the whole effect off.

Extension of the street sign: you can do only the front and back signs, and write on opposite sides, in black letters that have been treated with glow squid ink, the names of any two western US states that border each other.

no, i dont think so the oak planks are there to give it the wild west feel in the saloon because their keys are kinda like that alot

pro tip if you want more watchers: start off with the finished builds and put timestamps to get to them. I for one don't have time to watch someone place blocks for 30 minutes to find out what it ends up looking
