idk if you still care about this, but to use hoppers you right click on the object you want them to flow towards. if its a chest or another hopper, shift-click. that points the hopper in the correct direction.

Maybe it’s been patch since but the trap doors don’t keep water in anyone on the same block. Gonna have to figure out how I can fix it to work now
