I remember when Magma Cubes weren't all that threatening since their smallest iterations used to not deal any damage, but since they were updated so that the smallest ones can actually damage you, they can actually be pretty dangerous in numbers. What I do is kill the first iteration with my sword, then use a Multishot and Quick charge crossbow as crowd control for the lower hp iterations. The crossbow is very effective at dealing with big groups of 2nd and 3rd iteration magma cubes as each crossbow bolt 1 shots them, and with Multishot can kill 3 cubes per shot, which you can spam with quick charge. After you greatly thin their numbers it should be safe to simply whack the remaining stragglers with your sword as they'll die in one hit.

Another thing about the blazes is that they have a pattern for attacking. Unlike other mobs where they can just attack whenever they're near you, Blazes have a specific burst of three fireballs, and then a cool down. If you wait for the blaze to shoot all three fireballs, you can almost immediately take them out with an axe or good sword

Noticed some odd editing, are you playing in ultrawide? If y'are, consider rendering the video in ultrawide too! It's becoming more popular, and I don't think many 16:9 users would mind the cinematic black bars. Alternatively, if you think ultrawide tolerance is a bit of a _stretch,_ simply scoot the footage a little to the left next time to keep the crosshair in line with the center of the screen. The approach you've gone with here is honestly a little confusing.

Skeletons, blazes and ghasts you can also use a shield is super cheap is such an efficient way to protect you, and if you are agile enough also everything else (like you hitting exactly when the mob is recharging and they attack when you have your shield protecting you) but magma cubes when they're split the shield is basically useless

fun tip for two biggest sizes of magmas: they actually need to jump on you, so if you put a block over your head, they won’t be able to jump on you, leaving you able to attack them. sometimes though, the magmas do get “stuck” on the block over you, but they just don’t jump off

On my main survival world nether seed is on an island in a lava lake, which is bordered by every nether biome except the crimson forest. My first adventures there were UTTER CHAOS(a lot of ghasts came over from the soul sand valley). Although I’ve made big changes to fix it now.
