Minecraft All Advancements Speedrun World Record

Note: the reason why I freak out SO much at 6:22 is because getting thunder in time for a world record all advancements speedrun (you need thunder for a single advancement, Very Very Frightening) is around a 10% chance. There's nothing you can do during the run to increase these odds, and you have no idea if you are going to get thunder or not until it actually happens. These odds are also set at the start of the run (when the world is generated). Nine out of ten runs are completely dead at the very beginning - and there's no way to tell without playing the entire run out thunderless. ​​@@pnb9198thunder is required for the advancement very very frightening where a villager get struck by lightning and turns into a witch. When a world is created the weather patterns are invisibly determined, meaning that you cant know when thunder is going to strike, and if there is no thunder you can't get the vvfrightening advancement, and therefore cannot complete the run. There is only a 10% chance for thunder to happen under 3 hours into the run, meaning that you can be locked out of world record at the start of the run

How do you think this time could be beaten? Like, is there one thing in particular that could have made the run much shorter (and that we could realistically expect from a RSG run) ?

23 minute elytra is pretty slow - you can see in the unedited run I just had to run for 4 minutes to get to the end city. The fastest elytra ever obtained (in an AA run) is 15:54, and it's realistic to go for ~18 minute elytra times, so that's 5 minutes right there. Otherwise, the end of the midgame was a bit slow (1:50 - 2:00), since I was stuck on one cat and a couple shells for a pretty long time relative to the pace of the rest of the run. Otherwise, it was pretty much perfect.

first of all, massive congrats! this run is absolutely insane, and yet it looked so easy second, how does that tnt placement for the raids work? i've never seen that strat used before, it looks quite interesting. I understand the concept of timing the tnt to blow up right as they spawn, but how do you locate the exact spot they spawn? it is fixed, or do you just make sure to look for it during the first/second waves, and then prepare the area for the subsequent ones?

late reply, but it does work exactly as you said. you look at where the first wave spawns and explode there. optimally you get a 1:50ish for a normal difficulty raid, 1:15 of which is wave timers

insane run! im wondering how the ghast trick at 4:50 works?

unloading the ghast at 2rd hangs it there until i increase my render distance again around half a second before i enter the overworld. then once i'm in the overworld, the TNT explodes and kills the ghast. since I lit the TNT, I get kill credit for the ghast kill, and since I'm in the overworld, the game gives me uneasy alliance. the check is simply if the player killed a ghast while in the overworld - not if the ghast itself was actually in the overworld. hope that helps :)

Did you notice he turned down his render distance so they can only spawn in the 3 chunks and they can’t spawn in a house so it’s pretty limited spots. But that’s all I know I don’t know I specified it down from like 3 spots it could have been.
