The biggest difference between the classic music disc and these new ones is that the classic ones were calmer and smoother (aside for 13 and 11) and fit more with the overall feel of minecraft at the time

Here is my ranking of every disc from worst to best with reasoning. F tier: No songs are this bad D tier: 13 - The worst "lore" disc, but I can't even give it credit for a lore disc as its just creepy sounds. I remember being scared of this disc when I was young thinking it would summon herobrine. But to be fair everyone my age thought that. 11 - This isn't music. Like its not a music disc its just a disc. Its better then 13 though as at least its short and HAS lore. C tier: 5 - Best of the lore discs only because I think the ending is funny as just a sensor goes of and it all goes crazy and I think the section where its actually music for a bit. B tier: Blocks - Before you hate on me for putting blocks this low-remember that none of the following discs are bad-they are really good. So It was hard placing these. In my opinion blocks is just way to long but not mad at all. Far - Ah yes, the disc of relaxation expect I don't listen to it. Better then blocks because its shorter. Strad - the 2010's compressed into one song. Very good. Cat - The beginning is kinda all over the place with what sounds like completely random notes playing-then it gets good and the end is amazing. Wait - Wait, this song has lots of long mid-points between drops in the music, as if you have to wait for the drop to hit... WAIIIITTT Stal - Stal reminds me at the start of a detective asking questions and the person they are questioning goes all crazy when the drop hits and a whole new song starts lol, then I feel it bounces around a bit from the 2 people talking. Mall - Far but better. No really its just a better Far. Also combines the feeling strad gives me and adds the relaxation of Far. A tier: Mellohi - Now we are on some of the best discs. Mellohi is a perfect blend of Stal and also doing its own thing. Short and sweet. The drop near the end is perfection too. The only problem is that its very short but if it was too long then it would have been blocks again. Ward - My oh my this disc is amazing! The start sounds like the disc is scratched a little then it starts for real and all omg its just so good. I really feel the drums in my gut there. Otherside - Very good. Makes me think of a song that someone got exiled or something. Also the main 5 beats that play sounds like: "Who is laughing now ha" But that could just be a stretch. Pigstep - I got to write this quick before the Pigstep fans find me. Pigstep is amazing. From all of the sound effects (I swear one of them sounds like someone is slurping a slushie or something.) and how you really feel this in your gut. Its amazing. I like to imagen the piglins just start vibing and the main drop near the end is when the brutes get to them and even start dancing. S tier: Chirp - At least one of you were waiting for this. Best disc c418 ever made. The start is just SO nostalgic and the end really makes you remember that life goes on. When I first heard this disc I literally started crying omg I can't stress this enough chirp is so good Creator (Music box) - Despite being the shortest disc by a long shot its still very, and I mean VERY powerful and its carried by how a lot of people think its just part of Creator just without the "Good" part but its actually quite different. Very nice. Precipice - This song makes me sad. But not in the way you would think. It first of all sounds familiar to any Undertale fans such as myself (If you know you know) And the song is one of the longest but unlike blocks, it does it in a way I could never expect. The reason is makes me sad is that this could be the final music disc. Like no more in future updates. I doubt it but I feel like this disc is a combo of every other disc similar to the ender dragon fight music. Might be a stretch but it gets me thinking. Relic - One of the best. If not THE best as this song is just wonderful. I love how it starts off shaky like the person making it doesn't know what they are doing but they kinda figure it out as they go on. This is wonderful and just shows the care the writers put into their work. Creator - The best disc. No question. The start being like a music box then it gets all funky with what sounds like a flute. Then it gets all crazy with a guitar and next thing you know you're dancing how did that happen and now your crying because the ending sounds sad like what and then you just get all sorts of emotions at once and fall to the ground. Or is that just me idk lol bye

I play Minecraft a lot, have a hardcore world. These songs are perfect for when I play. Still need to get them though. Only through structures can I get them. Once I do I'm going to hang them on my bedroom wall!!!!

The hardest one to get is probably Pigstep because you have to head to a Bastion, which has brutes that do so much damage. Currently listening to Pigstep while I write this!!!!!!!! :)

My ranking for these great discs!! Number 15. Cat (Dog sequence) Number 14 disc 13: it really is creepy but what is it even about like is it about the ambience in the caves while a player is running from a creeper that almost explode him and a skeleton shoots an arrow and the player jumping into the water and it goes back to dripping caves and a faint sound I think I hear at the end and then the disc ends is anyone gonna analyze this disc Number 13. Disc 11 I think we all know the lore behind it a player is in a lost dungeon being chased by an enderman and going into a room finding a book about the truth of Minecraft and then a faint ghast sound and the enderman chases the player and then dies so i think it took place in a stronghold and the player jumped into the portal creating STAL THE ICONIC DISC Number 12. Creator (music box) it’s just a disc playing a music disc sound like in the beginning of creator it is not the worst disc I put it in 12 because it’s just playing a music box Number 11. chirp: well it has disc sounds at the start then classic music and then it goes to 50s music and then has a clam beat and sound which sounds beautiful and then some up tempo beats and then cool beats and then it goes to calm down music again I really like this disc I like how it goes to classic music to up tempo music it’s really a cool disc it’s kinda disturbing at the start but the end it gives you a cool feeling Number 10. Ward: at first glance it has some funeral music and then some tempo beats idk why it has such a low tempo or funeral music at the start but it’s just a ward Number 9. Mall: this disc is my favorite disc it has calming music at the start and at the middle there is cool tempo music which is the really best disc in this tier list Number 8. Far: this disc gives me memories it has far far far away vibes and some cool music and then calming music and piano which is really good and cool Number 7 Mellohi: this really gives me “Weres my dog” vibe it’s iconic and it feels like a scene from a movie a type of movie I think Number 6. Disc 5: this disc really has some deep lore about the deep dark it explains everything that’s all I have to say Number 5. STAL: this gives me detective vibes and then it has a funny sound that is so iconic Number 4. Strad: it’s just to good to be true Number 3. Wait: it’s worth the wait! Number 2. Pigstep: this gives me pigs having a party vibes Number 1. Creator: this gives me British vibes so I think the ancient builders were British Number 0. Blocks: it’s so nostalgic it reminds me of my brother Sorry if I didn’t add other discs to this list Bonus number -1. Precipice: it is the greatest disc I ever heard it will be remembered in the next 1,000,000 years I hope!!

My ranking (I don't care if some of these are overrated or not this is based on how I like the sound, this is my opinion) 1. *Creator* (Starts with a music box, the melody is very catchy and sounds exciting, a lot of variety in the instruments. The ending becomes almost dramatic) 2. *Otherside* (This one sounds nostalgic to me even though it's one of the newer discs, it has a catchy melody and it also fits the exploration vibe like Relic) 3. *Relic* (Literally sounds like you went on an exploration and you are wandering through ruins and other old remnants of old civilizations) 4. *Pigstep* (Idk why but for me it fits the Piglins perfectly) 5. *Precipice* (It's kinda almost too much for me because of how much is going on in the melodie but it's still really good) 6. *Mellohi* (I like the weird sound it has, it's unique) 7. *Chirp* (I mostly only like the beginning but it's really strong) 8. *Ward* (I don't like the few notes of the beginning but the cut to the main melody makes it good, it's unique and catchy) 9. *Stal* (I don't really like jazz but the mixture is kinda interesting) 10. *Blocks* (I know many don't like this disc, but for me, sometimes simplicity is great and the last part of it sounds amazing, it is a bit too long though) 11. *Strad* (I like the melody, it sounds like your stereotypical sunny beach) 12. *Mall* (It's not bad at all but I just don't find it that exciting, it also kinda doesn't fit into Minecraft) 13. *Cat* (Nice melody, the beginning sounds out of the ordinary) 14. *Wait* (I like the melody) 15. *Far* (The ending is really nice but that doesn't put it higher) 16. *Creator Music Box* (The melody is really cool but it's not the full piece) 17. *5* (I like the music part but it's too short to get ranked higher) 18. *13* (A little bit of "music") 19. *11* (There is no music) *Note:* Outside of this I don't actually listen to music and if I do I listen to classical music so my taste in music might differ from your's)
