As an old gen, I know why the hive is dying, because we grew up, according to science, once u reach a certain stage, you dont feel the same activities fun again as it were in childhood, most of hive players who quit grew up, EGIRLSLAYER2 used to play the hive and he literally has a job now. The hive also feels dead because the original community and creators left like ignacio, deezee, the gamse like treasure wars, even the old hub is gone, the change it seem like it too because people want to go back to the old fun days when they had fun on hive (including me cuz bedwars sux cuz i like tw due to its originality and it being here since the beginning)

I think new people are coming and og's are leaving. Ive been playing since 2019 (I was 8 or so) and I'm 13 now, and I dont know how much longer I will be playing. I'd say the community is HORRIBLE, but thats just my opinion. I personally dont agree w/ the hive community, but I kind of dont have a choice exept to ignore it. But I'd say, in like, 7-8 yrs it might slow down, but even then I think personally, thats being generous. Good video oficey, gl on 5k ❤

I joined the community in late 2022, and personally have never thought the Hive was dying or thought the updates were bad, I've always enjoyed what they make and think it's very well done, seeing others blinded by nostalgia for 2020 when gaming is all they and their friends did. Obviously there will always be bugs and things to balance after an update but in general everything is always a net positive. I think a lot of the reason people think the Hive is dying is, like you said, because they spend too much time playing, but adding on to that, a lot of the community is very young and maybe not mature enough to realise they are the problem with their lack of enjoyment, so push negativity on the Hive itself.

To answer your question, in my opinion, no, the hive is not dying. Heck, it's thriving. it's just going through a new generation. Almost every 2 years (maximum), a new generation of youtubers comes in and takes over the last generation. The hive only got 60k players in 2021 because of the sonic update and summer (of course), but because the new generation couldn't over take the last. If you see hive youtubers quitting, that's okay! Since it can help the process go much faster. For this new generation, we are in the small youtubers starting to become big stage, such as some of my favorite youtubers, artist galaxy, the faceless, electrix, shorkie, and more! (Btw i posted dis in 3 am. i think duolingo is coming for me since i didn't do my lesson.)

Guys, the Hive recently became the top 1 bedrock server again, is actively developing, adding new games and has many KZbinrs, also recently the hive received 20k online, which has not happened for quite a long time. There are more KZbinrs there now than ever before. The Hive doesn't die!

It doesn't not die because "it's an amazing server with an amazing community", but because it is a featured server on bedrock edition for consoles. Almost nobody (at least that I heard of) has hive added to their server list, they just know of that server and play that server because it is always there, always in the scummy featured server list with servers like Pixel Paradise and Lifeboat on it. It won't die just because people can't get rid of it on the featured server list (not that I hate The Hive).

Hive isnt dying, barely anyone played treasure wars from 2023 to before bedwars. When bedwars came out. 20000 were on in a minute or so and like 8000 plus are playing bedwars, did better than treasure wars tbh. It may have been dying before. But bedwars saved hive, cube craft stole hives idea and cubecraft now has not as much as hive. In reality, CUBECRAFT is the one whos dying
