Items missed in beginning materials list: 28 stairs 28 trapdoors 1 lever 1 more redstone torch 4 moss blocks 2 more observers 1 soul sand Let me know if I missed anything, also farm worked perfectly after construction but the 'priming' stage took me over an hour so just be patient guys and then the farm produces large quantities of bonemeal.

Very good machine. Thanks for that. A few comments though. I noticed that bonemeal slinks through the fences, and blocks up the hoppers on the composters. If you exchange all fences with glass (which also does NOT transmit redstone), except on top of hoppers, of course, everything will be fine. The chests that are merely used for blockers can also be replaced with glass. There is also a redstone missing on the end of the top row, behind the repeater. Without this, the signal does not reach the bonemeal dispensers. All in all a very good machine. The bonemeal just pours in now. Works super-well for me in java 1.19.2
@richardchurch97092 жыл бұрын
Merry Christmas Ken for a start. I have now built this in my survival world and it is working fine. I did a quick trial and after being fully primed it carried on generating about 5 stacks of bonemeal each daylight Minecraft day. This is more than enough for my needs and it just chugs away in the background, brilliant. I also left it running and flew away far enough to unload the chunks it was built in and it was working flawlessly on my return. Finally I crashed out of the game and when I reloaded it was still working perfectly so I can say it can be left running permanently. The only thing I picked up on was when you were building the operating system for the dropper underneath you refer to "...a target block, with an observer, a block in front....". It is easy to see that it is not 'an observer' but a comparator in subtract mode. Saying again, the tutorial at this speed was really good. All the best for New Year and we're all looking forward to your future builds, cheers matey.

After further testing I now realise that leaving the farm running when the chunk is unloaded by flying away or crashing out will upset the stone generation and the mechanics between lava flow and the water. I now switch the farm off when I leave, back on when I return and the farm works flawlessly producing around 50 stacks of bonemeal per hour real time. Luvvly Jubbly!

Posting this comment to say it's still working great in 1.20! A couple of things to address comments: The timing on the side platforms with the 4 repeaters is very important. 3 Ticks into the block with the redstone torch, and 4 ticks on the other 3. I messed up on one side, and was getting cobblestone. Once I corrected the issue, I had pure stone on both sides. Issue 2: I've seen a lot of comments saying this doesn't produce enough bone meal to feed the system... This is wrong. It produces A LOT of bone meal. He shows priming the system with one stack of bone meal in each dispenser, but I found that you really need about 2 or 3. If you don't have enough bone meal to do this... the solution is in the farm itself. Scaffold or dirt pilar your way into the farm, open the first set of dispensers/hoppers, and there will be a ton of bone meal there after running the system. Take some out, spread it in the other 3 systems. It takes a while to fill up the whole system. You have to remember you are filling up a dispenser (9 Stacks) a hopper that goes into it (5 stacks) and a hopper that goes into that hopper (another 5 stacks). So 19 stacks on ONE set of dispensers... and the bone meal is traveling in a straight line through the system. This means the first 19 stacks go straight into the first dispenser before it starts filling the second, and another 19 before filling the 3rd. ONCE ALL HAVE BEEN FILLED, you can fill up your double chest collection very fast. My suggestion if you don't want to wait for the system to be primed: Go to your iron farm. Grab all your poppies. Fill up these composters in the farm, and you'll be in business pretty fast. Otherwise, it just takes some time to fill up SEVENTY SIX stacks of hopper/dispenser. TLDR; priming the system takes a while before you start seeing bone meal in the collection chest. Either prime the system well, or wait for it to be full. Hope that helps!

I commented 3 days ago and after trialling the farm I stated that it was producing 5 stacks approx. over a Realm daylight day. However I was having problems with the stone generator producing some cobble which doesn't work properly. I fixed that and a new trial showed production around 7+ stacks a day so I'm well happy. Thanks again Ken.

Love the build. Unfortunately this design does not work on Bedrock edition. The temporary lever does not power the sticky piston with the observer. Also the pistons pushing the stone up are not powered. I added 4 redstone dust on each side of the temporary lever then a block with redstone dust on top and that was able to power the sticky piston with the observer. With it being a temporary lever I dont know if this will work and not sure how to power the pistons pushing the stone up.

I built a Kraken in my old survival world Randall, even though there wasn't, and isn't, any tutorial. It took me forever because it was before 'scaffolding' and I had no elytra. It looked absolutely fantastic but having the Nether portals so close to the mob farm reduced the efficiency of the whole thing because of the mob cap, (I think). The game has moved on now and I don't think there is actually a place for the Kraken now, but you never know!!!

The dispenser is not spitting out bonemeal 2. The regular piston is not destroying the grass on the mossblock 3. The water is not flowing This means the pistons are just trying to push the stone and that is basically all that happens. I really hope someone knows the solution to this problem. Thanks in advance! Thanks buddy im really happy you liked the video it could be a server issue as well ... also make sure to go underneath and break the cobble stone
@richardchurch97092 жыл бұрын
Sora', read my other posts on here, I had the same problem. If your chunk unloads while the farm is switched on it upsets the mechanics of the lava and the water so may produce cobble instead of stone. I fixed my problem by switching the farm off to withdraw the water, then going underneath the farm and breaking all the cobble, replacing it with stone. When the farm was restarted it worked great and have had no problems since.

Tried it on bedrock 1.18 (with experimental features turned on) but the sticky piston component of the clock (timestamp 3:07) *did not* work because: - The lower sticky piston on which the downward facing observer is mounted did not extemd along with the upper sticky piston I think this has something to do with how quasi-connectivity functions for pistons on java but not on bedrock, not sure tho
@br3hbmc792 жыл бұрын
The quasi connectivity issue with pistons not carrying charge to a block directly below them can be rectified by rewiring/replacing noteblocks with redstone I made mine smaller because the redstone charge doesnt go as far - The water flow through trapdoors doesn't work on bedrock but it can be replaced with dispenser+water buckets prob

Can you please make a video on what to do when this thing breaks? It's practically unuseable when it breaks and takes way too long to fix.
@stormysackett22662 жыл бұрын
When it breaks turn the machine off, go underneath and break any cobble you see, turn it back on, watch it for any more cobble and do the same thing. You may have to repeat this a few times, but it works without having to tear the machine apart. Just repeat until you dont see any more cobble. Make sure all of your redstone is enclosed!!! Water will flow everywhere on the ground level and it will wash it away. It breaks when the machine is on if the chunk gets unloaded. Just throws the timing off. Easy fix though. I figured this out after tearing the whole thing apart the first time I broke it 🤦♀️🙄🤣

@govtprop11072 жыл бұрын
No, just built it in creative on bedrock. Doesn't work. I added a redstone line to the bottom sticky piston with the observer (both sides) to get them to move to activate the redstone clock. Now I have to figure out how to get the bottom pistons that are suppose to push up the generated stone to work & get the timings right.
@govtprop11072 жыл бұрын
Found out that pistons move furnaces too. I replaced the furnaces with obsidian. Removed the note blocks & replaced with repeaters. Removed the observers and used normal block. Ran a line of redstone behind the repeaters from the clock with a repeater on 2 tick delay. Works so far. Also to note, if timing is off from any side, the stone will come across & push your hoppers. I put an obsidian line on each side of the hopper line.
