This is a very interesting TAS! This means that the dragon was killed within a minute of world generation. I think that it would be cool if you made a TAS with TAS execution but average luck (including an average seed)? It doesn't show any limit but would be a pretty cool demonstration.

i agree but this TAS uses the pearl cooldowns efficiently, multi tasking so it wouldnt make much difference. It is better to just make a mod that skips the dragon animation so that i can do sub 1 xd

you can move approx. 2% faster while sprint jumping if you flick the camera 45 degrees in one direction and strafe the other direction on the tick after you jump, and then undo those inputs on the tick you jump again. it might not save any time in practice, idk, but it could be useful to know for TAS runs which have more linear running segments for some reason

I always love your TAS's and this one was especially cool :) I have a few questions after reading the description: How long is a 'block tick'? Why did you want that sword from the zombie pig? Is it for the sharpness? (assuming that ruined portal sword was looting) When you say the grow tick speed is set to 3, is that vanilla or did you have to set that yourself? first of all tysm! Means a lot to me. A block tick is something game uses to refresh the state of some blocks, should be 0.05s. Yeah i had nothing to do on the portal so the sharpness idea came to mind. It turned out to be useful and saved time :D. The grow tick speed is already set to 3 vanilla, you can see that if you go to create new world and then you go to the options button, scroll down and you will see a button to change the grow speed which is set to 3. Not going to tell ya :p

Sry if I sound dumb but can you explain how you manipulate all the RNG? I’ve watched other mario TAS and they all had to brute force search a good seed so that the enemies spawn at right locations (by waiting on the title screen for example). I didn’t see you doing anything special, then what’s the trick here?

there are multiple ways of manipulating rng, and by multiple i mean a lot to explain here because there are a hellot of different rngs and tools. But mostly we use datapacks to provide us with special loot that we require and it is possible in vanilla minecraft. No you do not sound dumb ^^

This is unrealistic perch standards for young women in the media smh my head!!1!! realistically though, what is the strat/proof of the dragon even dropping the first 25 blocks in like 5 seconds? I've never even seen the dragon get to the second node with double max heights in less than even ~20 seconds on that seed, but that's like month old data I could be misremembering

Hi Curcuit! Yeah we are all weird and dont know what to do with the perch stuff. This TAS waited 11 seconds before the Dragon snapped into the fountain, this were the numbers i got from Pancakes video explaining the least amount of time before the dragon can perch, they could be wrong of course but at this time this is the only video that can at least prove something xD. If all the community can come to some sort of an agreement on what is the least time the dragon can perch i will make sure to follow that hypotheticall time.

@@TechnesY omg me too big fan!! im not too familiar with 1.16 dragons myself but i think the real answer is to just do 0 cycle lol, it can probably match about the times here but confirmed and rngless. i’ve seen the sum of the phases be like 8 seconds from my own abstract testing, but when starting from the initial dragon position on a specific seed i’m skeptical. not to knock on anything tho! i think this finally solidifies 1.8 as just too slow xd

@@Curcuit haha yeah i have been thinking a couple of strats with 0 cycle, but i have to test wether the dragons dying animation is too slow to be faster than normal 1 cycle. But hey i think that pre 1.9 still has some potential since the end is sick fast xd. You can look at some seeds like the one 100px used and there is a looot time to be saved from their run. And if a better seed is found maybe the sub 1 will take place on pre 1.9. Also the least height was estimated to y:82 if it perches fast. But as i said all of Pancake's theory could be wrong

@@TechnesY Yeah a better nether would definitely put 1.8 back into it, my old realistic estimate for the 90 second seed was about 1:10, and I could see it go a lot faster. As I'm learning 1.16 though it looks more and more promising(and easier lmfao). I've already done a 0 cycle faster than any human end fight and getting dragon dead by 10-15 seconds into end is feasible, but death animation makes it about even with this end, if it is possible. I'd suggest talking to the big guys in the strat industry at some point tbh, they could probably clear up all the 1.16 dragon stuff better than I could just reading through all their stuff

Explained it in the description, there is a 4 chunk intersection which means that it is possible to spawn up to 16 mobs of the same type. Obviously you need an EXTREME amount of luck for that many spawns
