A quickish rundown of the bits that schlatt has, mostly from SMP Live (the SMP that initially sparked the revival of minecraft) * Schlatt is also just a phenomenal entertainer in general, he knows how to spice up a video (Or SMP(s), hint hint) - Schlatt likes to use his “funny mic” this bit isn’t used as often as it was back in SMP Live - Schlatt likes destroying stuff like his desk and keyboards, more common in his dating show videos (of course you’ve heard the desk slamming in this video) - Schlatt likes either acting openly gay, or overly insistent on not being gay -Schlatt likes to act like a devout catholic from time to time - Deals and business, he loves business, and this might be a code word for a separate big bit in SMP Live - Basically schlatt is always playing a character and this character changes all the time, hence a certain thing his childhood hero called him in SMP Live There are a plethora of other bits from the SMP Live days that schlatt left behind, and current bits that you won’t see as much in the minecraft videos as opposed to his other content.

The story of Dream SMP kind of starts before Dream SMP and actually well before. Wilbersoot started a channel called Soothouse years ago where he did reddit readings and other similar things. The channel eventually died and all the members of Soothouse just sort of faded. During that time, Jschlatt uploaded a video called "A Tribute to Minecraft". This video and his relations to CallmeCarson got him invited to SMPlive. Schlatt spent his time on SMPlive trying to sell a cryptocurrency he called Schlattcoin. When Wilber later returned by himself and joined SMPlive, they sort of became partners in crime. SMPlive eventually ended and the two spent three grace period here doing things like Minecraft Monday and other events like it (such as SMP Earth which Wilber doesn't a decent amount of time on) until Dream got rather popular and made his own SMP. The SMP started small and Dream slowly added new people which let Wilber join. Without spoiling the things that happened in the mean time, Tommy eventually invited Jschlatt to the Dream SMP but he was banned quickly since Dream never approved his joining. Later on though he was allowed to join as he had talked more with Dream.

It really depends in my view, Schlatt though not the best president was rightfully elected as president, so the whole overthrow him/blow up Manburg thing isn't deserved, and a considerable amount of what he did does have some justification. However Schlatt was making some drastic changes without much regard for the citizens opinion, but that's pretty needed due to his vision of how the nation should be run compared to how it was under the Wilbur Administration, so I do understand why people wanted to overthrow him.

Idk if Hermitcraft would make for entertaining reaction videos but I definitely agree that it's absolutely worth watching. They're a LOT more chill and just build awesome stuff and push the limits of the game by creating redstone machines, massive art pieces, infrastructure, even full on games inside of Minecraft. (I mean they make minigames in survival but some of them *cough tangotek cough* make like actual full video games entirely inside of minecraft IN SURVIVAL.) Also sometimes they just goof off and have fun, get into some friendly competitions etc. It's very relaxing and fun stuff to watch usually, and at the same time you learn _so_ much about the game. (I've also been meaning to check out Scicraft which is apparently even more chill in terms of vibes while being absolutely mad in terms of technical achievements, those guys regularly just break the game to the point that the devs have to nerfs things to stop them from just getting infinite everything.)

Hermitcraft is huge. It’s on its seventh season, and each season has thousands of hours of content spread across over 20 creators. Definitely worth a watch on your own though. It’s a very relaxed smp filled with shenanigans and occasional storylines

The thing about Wilbur is that he's a sort of double-edged sword. On one hand he's the most inspiring hero on the server, on the other hand he's well known as "The Dirty Crime Boy" in minecraft in general

i'm really happy ur taking ur time getting into the plot of the smp and getting to know the characters! i honestly love wilbur and schlatt's friendship, but just letting u know, their friendship doesn't really come into play that much on the dream smp. they're both amazing actors and improvisers, though, they've contributed so much to the smp (as has everyone else ofc). wilbur and tommy are definitely friends lol, but it's different from ur comparison of them to dream and george bc they have this brotherly kind of dynamic and it's really sweet sometimes. oh also yes, schlatt is a "hostile dude" lmao, but he's one of the people who REALLY play into their personas. he's pretty private, and his streams and vids are always him enhancing his personality or just full-on acting- not in a bad way lol, he can be really hilarious. he does have a channel called weeklyslaps where he's really genuine, but it's him giving advice, so maybe just check that out in ur free time if ur interested. also this kind of content is solely focused on entertainment and interactions first, so no need to look AS deeply as u would into everything concerning skill or ideas as, for example, dream's manhunts.

Since most of the coverage of the Dream SMP I have seen is from Wilbur Soot and friends, the story to me has been pretty much Wilbur is the hero of the story. When you watch some of the Dream SMP and get more caught up with the story, alot of animations are made of important elements. The KZbinr SAD-ist has made some great ones on key plot points, but you should probably watch the raw gameplay before watching the animations (read the book before watching the movie, as it were)

They’re not actually trying to surivive, they’re just trying to make funny content. Schlatt is the reason for wilbur’s success. In my opinion, this is one of the videos that helped the resurgence of Minecraft in 2019. This is the best place to start before getting into the dream smp. I also recommend watching some of Fundy’s impossible mode Minecraft videos which are sick. I also don’t know if you’ll watch some videos on smp earth but I also recommend watching Tommy or Wilbur’s perspective because they are hilarious. I would normally recommend Technoblade for smp earth but there are too little videos by him about it.

I’ve been watching the Dream SMP since late into L’Manburg’s quest for independence. It’s been a roller coast ride since then. Let me just say. I am not on neither Schlatt nor Wilbur’s side. In the storyline of the dream smp without spoiling anything, Tommy is really the main character and hero you root for over the story since from his perspective he always get you roped into his shenanigans even if he's being bit of a troll as you would put it. A lot of people will say Wilbur is the hero but he really isn't. Since Wilbur joined the smp later and originally was only there for Tommy he didn't post a video on it for ages so just Wilbur viewers don't get the affect of Tommy being the protagonist and don't see all the important stuff that happened with Tommy before Wilbur joined. Wilbur is more of a mentor to Tommy as he comes into the main story.

I have seen the smp, and tbh I’m not on either side (though I’m leaning Wilbur). I’m more on technoblades side (neutral chaotic, even though he is on wilburs side he’s doing it for his own reason)

i think it was meant to be more of a 1 off thing, wilbur did these types of random something videos where there isnt really an intended goal, noone really knew that the dream smp was gonna happen at this point since Dream wasn't really a big name yet.

If you’re going to react to the smp, it’s better to watch multiple videos at a time because there’s so much. “Are we with Wilbur or with Schlatt?” Honestly depends on who’s POV you’re watching. It’s like actual war, there’s no evil nor good, it’s just whose side you’re on. (Though the best pog to watch is Tommy’s because he’s kinda the protagonist) Personally, I’m with neither, not gonna go into details because of the massive spoilers

I think it would be nice if watched some of the minecraft championchips (mcc). Maybe not the whole streams but some clips of it. It would get you to know some of the players in the general community. Also you will see who is a good player compared to everyone else in the community. Just a sugestion tho. The mcc is streamed on mondays by the players compiting in it on teams, and there are many different game modes that the teams get coins from. The two teams with the most coins will then compete in dodgeball. I hope you react to it.

I have watched the dream Smp its a long over arching story, you'll be surprised at the quality of the story it's kind of some kind of roleplay server. we are kind of with wilbur at the time I'm making this comment but we're definitely against Jschlatt the thing is he came in a little more recently so does technoblade who fun fact farms a potato farm for 14 straight hours from the first day of being in the smp. I would say that TOMMYINNIT is the "Main Character" but look at the perspectives of other people often. Kind of a spoiler underneath: Oh and by the way get ready for wars a lot of wars.
