As much as I stand by pink coming before red being valid, I really have no idea what the mapmaker was thinking telling the player not to throw items and putting the copper smelting recipe somewhere visible when the player still needs it in block form

I have an opposite opinion. It was very clear that the "do not throw items......." was so players wouldn't destroy important items required to complete the map. It was clear when it stated to put it in the chest instead. As for rainbow I agree with jardoon

I think the message meant that you shouldn’t throw things on the ground to get rid of them, but the way it is punctuated kinda makes it say that you can’t drop items ever.

I would imagine that this mapmaker probably gets a lot of angry comments and down votes for their maps. 'do not throw items on ground' 'throw item on ground to complete this goal' AND 'put these colors, that are mostly not in the rainbow, in rainbow order'

I understood "don't throw items on the ground" as meaning "don't let them despawn" but the mapmaker should've just said that instead

Jump Boost -1 or lower results in not being able to jump (and lower values actually increase fall damage). Because of how status effects are stored, levels 128 and higher get 256 subtracted from them, so doing /effect give @s jump_boost 255 results in Jump Boost -1.

To be fair it said 1 ingot so I assume you needed all types of copper and smelt the one oxidized copper. That being said you would have still soft locked seeing you needed to place them in a specific manner.

I am 15 minutes into this and I'm watching on 1.5 speed. I give up watching. The streamer fog is REAL in this. He lacks the ability to use trial and error and gets 5 steps ahead of himself. This is unwatchable for my brain.

I feel like you're not supposed to drop an item onto the pressure plate, but rather shoot it with an arrow (since it's wooden), and the map maker just said "drop an item" in the hint because it's just easier for people to understand? Either that or the map maker MEANT in the rules "don't get rid of any items," but the way it was worded made it seem like you were just disallowed to throw items. Either way, still probably could have just shot the pressure plate and gotten it over with way sooner.

It deletes the arrow, so the pressure plate doesn’t stay pressed and so the trapdoor doesn’t stay open. I think the only way the trapdoor stays open, is to throw an item on the pressure plate. And yes, I think the mapmaker meant in the rules to not delete any item (by throwing it on the ground and not picking it up later), the mapmaker should have worded it something like “if you want to clear your inventory, throw items in a chest. Don’t throw items on the groung and letting them be deleted.”
