Fun fact: cauldrons can be used as a way to put out fire in the nether because if I’m not mistaken you can put water in a cauldron in the nether

about a minute into the vid and i already have to put my nerd glasses on: AcTuAlLy, the reason cauldrons are essential to late game progress development is because there’s a trick to create an infinite lava farm with it, you thought there wasnt an infinite lava source? with the introduction of drip stone created a little known use for cauldrons, if you put a source block of lava with drip stone hanging off the block with lava on top and place a cauldron underneath (in order from top to bottom the blocks go lava,block,drip stone, air, then cauldron) it will drip lava into it instead of water, effectively creating an infinite renewable lava source, it works forever unless the source block is removed then it will cease to function, but as long as you still have lava in the cauldron you can renew it back. also, if it seems it’s taking a while or not working, it’s because that the Minecraft devs haven’t created layers of lava in a cauldron, like water.
