Hey I haven't really looked into your project yet but heard doob mention griefing on the public server. Maybe it should be set to adventure mode and you could add ropes and Grappling hooks/climbing gear mods for traversal. Then blocks can also be made to drop crafting materials not placable blocks ("breaking" a block will drop set resource but block will stay in world). Otherwise blocks could be set to be mined several times before actually breaking (though I think that would just slow the problem not fix it). I understand this can be quite a bit of work but I think it will really add to the setting. Also maybe a normal/creative server and a hard mode server with the changes. I hope to experience your amazing soon!...
