I built a ghast farm in my hardcore world, but they died too quickly since it was supposed to be automatic from suffocation for me to make it back in and kill one manually. I tried pearl hanging multiple times to huge disappointment.

10:03 first, you should not pull the lever twice because then the comparator will not be activated and the trap shoots only 1 firework. Second, you pulled the lever too quick that the repeater after comparator didn't activate because if the repeater is set on 4 rticks it needs a signal being there for 4rticks to activate it

Fantst used fall damaged mostly because of infinite saturation, some traps would not work like drowning. There needed to be an instant death and fall damage is the easiest.
