Wrong. Fish rates are indeed slightly reduced. The probabilitiy of getting fish with no enchants is 85%, with L3 it is 84.5%. I know this is just a slight decrease, but it technically is still less fish.

Sweeping edge is actually essential in a mob farm, JE players can slay bunch of mobs in few sweeps while BE players may have to either rely on some what overrated trident killer or spam attacks, making finger sore.

Since I play on console I don't get a sore finger and since I have to wait anyways after having killing the mobs for more mobs I don't care. I guess you could use lava as well in a mob farm if you let them die from fire and not lava damage.

@@harambe8372 I my PE zombie piglin farm, I use four trident two of which is enchanted impaling 5 soak the piglin with water still not efficient enough, and I have to spam hits to kill the rest of the piglins. My argument comes from here, unfortunately lava is non functional under such circumstances, but your idea is still good for a afk loot farm.

@@milkbaologist5610 well from my experience mobs do not drop XP if killed in lava but they do if they have touched it and gotten set on fire but you have removed the lava before they die. So you can get XP but maybe not zombie piglin's since they are immune to lava if I'm not mistaken. Cool way you got there though!

​@@milkbaologist5610 if its zombie piglins theres an easier way to kill them all. Dig a 1x1 hole, 2 down. On the floor block next to the hole, pillar jump yourself up onto a platform 2 blocks high. The zombie piglins will come to you and all fall into the hole you dug, then you can exploit the suffocate mechanism and drop 2x gravel into the hole, killing all the piglins in one go with zero durability loss save what it costs you to mine 2 blocks of netherrack

Good vid but you completely misunderstood Sweeping Edge. The sweeping doesn't "sometimes happen" on Java, it is triggered when you use a fully charged sword attack but don't crit. The Sweeping Edge enchantment just makes it do more damage.

Breathing underwater in Minecraft is represented by the oxygen bubbles not depleting. Unlike respiration which just slows down the rate at which your oxygen bubbles deplete until Steve has to get another breath.

Great video. Only things I would disagree with is soul speed and aqua affinity. For me soul speed would be average because it’s really only useful in soul sand valleys and aqua affinity would be decent tier because mining faster underwater is great because you don’t have to use doors or a conduit to mine blocks underwater quickly. Really useful for a project underwater or underwater caving for diamonds and such.

If you're not using soul soil as pathways in the area where you reside the most, you're not making a very good use of soul speed and yes, it is indeed useless (excuse the redundancy). Grab a few stacks of soul soil, use it instead of grass paths or whatever other blocks you use for paths around your home/village, and thank me later. It's a really nice quality of life enchant especially before getting elytra. I have most of my builds/farms connected by soul soil paths and it changed (especially) early game for me and my buds by a lot. Pair it with speed II from a beacon and whoosh you go.

Depends. My most recent world, our first nether portal opened into a literal spawning hub for skeleton archers - there was like 13 of them and they'd respawn almost as fast as you could kill them. I lost my entire shield to blocking arrows within 5min of getting to the nether and had to retreat. Fire protection wouldn't have done me any good there, as this was all physical projectiles. Same issue if you run into mobs of piglins or hoglins. I agree with the above comment that fire resist potion makes it all but obsolete, in any case.

I agree, specially having only one piece of armor having fire protection IV and the rest protection IV, it makes you tank so much damage from lava and anything else that deals fire damage, for exploring in the nether it's super useful, specially on that first time going in when you have no potions still and can't find piglins to barter with. It's why I have two different helmets always, one with protection IV and the other one with fire protection IV for nether exploration

Knockback 1 is actually way better than Knockback 2 and is really useful. Gets melee mobs the perfect distance away but doesn't send projectile mobs too far either. I always slap knockback 1 on my sword

I could see smite fitting into decent tier. Even though it’s a specialized enchantment like BoA, the mobs that it effects are some of the more dangerous ones in hardcore. Zombies can easily surround you in caves, zombie piglins can swarm if you misclick when fighting other mobs, skeletons can flank you, wither skeletons are just scary, etc. It’s niche, but it’s good against mobs that can pose a threat.

Almost a good tier list but there are enchantments that I disagree with. Firstly blast protection and fire protections are miles better than projectile protection since one can save your life against creepers or other explosive mobs (ghasts and wither) which are really good in a hardcore world and explosive mobs hit very hard. Meanwhile fire protection allows you to survive lava which counts as fire damage and a level 4 fire protection with full netherrite can make you unkillable in lava. Projectile protection is just Bane of arthropods to the armor since the only mobs with projectiles are skeletons, piglins and pillager and even then a protection armor does the job. As for piercing well it ain't lacking because you can pick up arrows making it like infinity for crossbow. It's also very useful in claustrophobic areas like caves as mobs have easier time to line up. Smite is actually somewhat of a sidegrade to sharpness since it does far more damage than sharpness does to undead mobs and undead mobs are very common yet dangerous mobs in the game. Maybe in decent tier. As for others we'll im fine with it.

Now I'm gonna say everything why I don't agree with your tier list. First blast protection: with that you're will save your hardcore world from a creeper or survive in crystal pvp. Mid tier. Second: Curses. Curse of binding is troll. Pumpkin, dispenser, multiplayer. Curse of vanishing is useful, when you're don't wanna give your gear to someone. Lacking tier both. Third: Lure. It's not that bad. Basically it's efficiency for fishing rod. Second tier at least Fourth: fast charge. If you're crossbow mainer it's life saver. With that you're shooting faster than a bow for same damage and no downsides, like overwriting other enchantes or damage penalty. Best tier Fifth: sweeping edge. Sweeping happens ALL the time, if you time it correctly, and that enchantment gives more damage from that. It must have for everyone, who have mob farm, what didn't use fall damage or autokill Open to discussion.

imo sharpness is very overrated and only worth putting on diamond swords, but smite is better on netherite swords i know you deal more damage with sharpness, but it's not even about the damage, it's more about the mob interactions, smite V on netherite sword allows you to 1-shot undead mobs with normal hits and you still have to hit the target twice to kill it with sharpness, 1 hit just has to be crit, but it's not a problem, just the knockback you do causes problems, but these interactions only apply for netherite sword, not to mention that the wither is the only real challenge in this game if you exclude the warden (and it's still easy to cheese), so more damage with smite is useful anyways when using a diamond sword, smite V doesn't allow you to 1-shot undead mobs without crits, but sharpness 3-shots mobs by default unless you crit twice, sharpness turns it into 2 normal hits the only real reason to use sharpness is prob either when doing raids, because ravagers take 2-3 less hits to kill, but you're prob gonna pour lava or use bows instead, or even have a raid farm, eventually killing endermen which aren't even that annoying if you make sure to not look at them, 1-shoting undead mobs with no effort just makes things way easier in most cases, for example grinding wither skulls or getting rid of skeletons (god damn, i hate them, those even could turn into creepers, they never f off and keep chasing you with bows, knocking you back)

I actually kinda love Swift Sneak and Soul Speed. Very unique enchantments that just passively make my life easier when doing other stuff. If I'm AFKing at my gold farm and need to round the corner to flip the levers, I sneak over there faster without falling. If I need to get to a Nether Portal kinda far away to get to a Woodland Mansion, I can choose to take the soul sand path to get there faster.

Use multishot for firework crossbows. Thorns randomly selects which armor piece to damage if it's on multiple pieces and only damages one, so unbreaking and mending basically nullify the negative effect. Use fire protection on your designated golden nether armor piece to keep the piglins from attacking you. Blast protection is also good against ghast attacks.

Fire Protection is an average in my opinion because it lets your survive in lava infinitely as long as you have food. Full Protection 4 doesn't let you do so and you only need 1 armor piece to Fire Protection for it to work.

Impaling is a whole different story in bedrock edition,As it deals more damage to anything underwater (rain count aswell), making the wither fight alot more easier with a riptide trident under the rain

sweeping edge does not increase how often the affect happens. The affect can happen all the time without the enchantment. However without the enchantment the effect will only deal 0.5 hearts of damage to the surrounding mobs. With sweeping edge 3, the sweeping edge attack will deal close to full (possibly full damage I don't remember) to the surrounding mobs.

Tip: having a full set of blast, fire, projectile protection is a waste. Just put each enchantment on one piece of armor each.

I agree with most of this but honestly, Multishot, Piercing, and Proj should be higher. I feel that tier should be something that you're alright with getting but isn't your main priority, like Aqua Affinity, while Average is kinda cool to have, Decent is one of the essentials you can put of if you need to, but Amazing being the MUST have enchants that severely upgrade your character. Having a piece of Proj early game is huge and is essential for any pvp kit that can include a bow, in late game it gets worse so it would probably only be Average maybe decent, but it's still a lot better than lacking. Something that makes this better than Environmental Protection(normal Prot) in some situations is that specific protections actually increase damage reduction by 2 protection points, not only one like Prot does, this means that a Proj IV piece reduces arrow damage twice as much as Prot IV piece does, meaning that for early game duels, mob encounters, or UHC duels you actually want 3/4 Prot and 1/4 Proj so that way you don't get melted in bow fights should they happen Piercing is honestly just Sharpness for a crossbow if we're gonna be real as well, it's not as useful as Multishot because of Firework launcher, and DEFINITELY not as good as Power/Sharp because you would rather have a crossbow with Multishot for damage, but the fact that it also goes through shields and increases damage output, huge for crossbows, especially ones with Quick Charge, which I personally think to be an Decent enchantment at least but seeing as you can still effectively use crossbows in most situations without it Average is fair for it. Multishot, however, straight up ignores shields with firework and melts people hard as fuck, rest in piece the Blood God Technoblade but in his DSMP moments when he just pulls out his firework crossbow and melts a bunch of people you can definitely see the power in the combination having one of the only reliable AoE effects in the game besides Splash potions, and the only long distance AoE effect. Definitely a much stronger enchantment than credit is given to it here, the only real thing about whether you want it is if you prefer regular bows or crossbows, I use crossbows quite frequently and see the power of these enchantments constantly when making kits or building up an arsenal on an SMP. Sorry for being the only psychopath that left a block of text to read, and to clear up any confusion I'm not tryna stir a pot or anything I'm just putting my opinion out there

curse of vanishing is underrated, its really usefull if you are on pvp and dont want your enemies to get your sword after they kill you, sometimes i craft a sword with all the enchantments possible to basicly made it a very powerfull weapon and add it a curse of vanishing so other people on the server wont get this sword which is very hard to make

Fire aspect should be in amazing because you basically never have to cook meat again. It’s so useful while hunting. Flame is fine where it’s at because you can’t shoot against an enderman.

I agree with most things on this list but that fire prot is lacking. Trust me, you probably use one piece of armor (probably helmet) as fire prot because and Nether/caving is so much safer, and even if you don’t want to you could make a separate helmet fire fire prot.

I disagree with blast protection being in Pathethic. It is so useful when you have a hardcore world and a creeper shows up of nowhere and blows you. Protection 4 is good too for all armour, but you dont have that much health left when it blows up.

In my opinion, mending and unbreaking are only good because they compliment other enchantments. If you could only enchant your armor with protection for or mending, I would pick protection for every time because you can just keep getting new armor and using protection for. But once you have other enchantments mending becomes nearly essential

Man, Fire Protection and Blast Protection are some of the most underrated enchantments in the game. You also used Blast Protection wrong. Around 70% of damage received from explosions and / or bast attacks are absorbed by your legs for some reason. Therefore, acquiring said enchantment on any other piece of armor is almost next to useless. But when pa anyired with leggings, makes you almost incapable of dying by explosions. With the other Protections, they are much more effective in their own range.

Hot take: Unbreaking is decent tier, it's unnecessary on anything except for a pick, shovel, and elytra if you have mending, which is really easy to get Hot take part 2: Curse of binding is good because trolling Hot take part 3: Fire prot is the worst enchant in the game, I have only been able to think of one extremely niche use case for it

first take is just wrong. second take is not a hot take. third take fire prot is kind of useful when mining for abcient debris. bane of arthropods is just never useful which makes it the worst enchantment.
