Minecraft farm factory sink in real life.

I came across a Minecraft Farm Factory in real life. This custom sink has a gentle slope to drain off with a trough sloping down to the drain. This is just like the popular farm factory designs in minecraft. What could be the purpose of this sink? I am guessing it would be great for a big presentation of ice, but maybe a drain for a houseplant collection?
