For the auto chicken farm, I recently set one up using a hopper minecart. That leaves it virtually exactly the same as the original versions. It also makes the design more compact!

I've recently been looking for farms and redstone contraptions to add to my new base. I tried out the 10 second farm since it looked simple enough for me to pull off. It took me like 10-15 minutes to put it together XD I also made a second one to double as a pumpkin farm and added some glass to keep the drops from missing the hoppers. Still waiting for more to grow so I can see if the glass worked

William Crook basically it observes block changes like Redstone being powered and unpowered, blocks being moved and placed, land being tilled etc and it outputs a Redstone signal out the other side

Probably unpopular opinion: I prefer just having normal non automatic farms because although they take more of your time I like picking up crops and replanting them ready to sell them in my village. It gives me a nice feeling
