*FAQ:* (Please read and apply first before commenting/complaining about issues with the farm) _Shulker stuck in the boat area/not ejecting properly_ : - This is either due to the farm being built facing the wrong direction (afk chamber should be on the south side, boats face south) or the shulker having a rotation it spawns with that makes it eject incorrectly. To fix the shulker rotation follow the instructions at 12:48 and if that's still not working, get the shulker to dupe itself (use healing pots if needed) and then use the, correctly orientated, duped shulker. _The farm is running a lot slower_ : - After 1.20.5 you have to make the following changes to attain the same level of efficiency: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWatgIt9g72dh5Y . _The golems are not shooting the shulker/farm not starting_ : - To fix this either push the snow golems against the open trapdoor with a piston or flip the trapdoor around so it's on the north side instead of the south side, again use a piston to push it. _Why are the boats breaking_ ? - This is due to shulkers targeting you if they see you above the farm, to fix this, either build a teleport-proof roof above the farm to block their line of sight, or simply use armour stands pushed into the fence posts like they are in the world download and schematics. _Getting hit in the AFK chamber_ ? - Replace the wall and slab with soul sand and fire above and stand away from the door. Also make sure the scaffolding's support block is not something endermen can pick up. _Can this farm be built in the end_ ? - Yes. _Shulker teleporting to AFK chamber_ : - Make sure you close the door to the AFK chamber then when using it. _Does it work on forge/paper/spigot/purpur/etc_ ? - Probably but it depends on the configs and plugins of your server. It will work perfectly in fabric or vanilla. _Snow golems dying_ ? - Place a top stair against the scaffolding above the lever to close it off from stray bullets. If you're still struggling to get the farm fully working after this and are doubting the integrity of this farm and tutorial, I highly suggest you read through the plethora of comments left by others playing a range of different mc versions who DID get it running, and ask what they did to get the farm to work (99 times out of 100 you either didn't follow an instruction properly, or there's a server mod/plugin interfering with the mechanics). Us admins cannot reply to every comment; we're not ignoring or censoring comments (if your comment doesn't show it's most likely gotten autoflagged by KZbin).

As for working in 1.21, I personally made this farm with the 1.20.5+ fix a week after 1.21.0's release, and initially had some trouble getting the farm to work. But, after applying the shulker rotation and snow golem dying fixes mentioned above, I was able to get it running reliably 24/7; gathering shulker boxes of shells. The farm is actually WAY easier to put together in 1.21 now as you can simply boat up a shulker and leash it over to the end island (as you can leash boats now)

Just to clarify: In the video the boats are facing south with the wall on the north side and the opening to the south. The correct lay out is to have the boats facing north with the wall on the south side and the opening to the north?

Works perfectly for me in 1.20.6. When setting it up, I used 10 snow golems. As a precaution, I placed the stair above the lever as recommended in the pinned post as well as the changes in the video linked in that same post. Additionally, I did use the soul sand plus fire mentioned in the video description. Been running for less than 30 minutes now and I already have over 3 stacks of shells and have not taken a single hit. Getting a shulker out to the area I wanted the farm was a pain, but definitely worth it. Wandering the End for hours collecting minuscule amounts of shells was getting old real fast.

Just a quick update on my observations so far with the farm. Built it, what, like two days ago? I AFK'ed at it for quite a bit of time since then, but to give people an idea, I now have over 40k shulker shells. So many, that I have resorted to storing shells back at my base in shulker boxes in chests because just chests was taking too much room. I have expanded the farm's storage and wired the on/off lever to be reachable from the door to the player AFK spot for ease of use, but this farm is sooooo good. At this point, the volume of shells I have is far beyond what I could ever use, but now I am running it just out of vanity I guess. I could literally construct entire buildings out of shulker boxes if I was so inclined now.

before I continue with the negatives, ill go into the positive first. this farm, after it is set up properly, works extremely well. output is amazing, and rates are much higher than what an average person will need. now the negatives. took me 3 damn days to get everything working. troubleshooting was an absolute nightmare, and working with shulkers is the worst experience ive had in a while for minecraft. the FAQ section honestly was dog shit imo so ill go ahead and provide a better worded solution. 0) when unloading shulker make sure that the blocks close to the farm are slabs. otherwise, the shulker will stick onto the bridge instead of the farm. even with invis, if you brush up on the shulker it will see you and shoot. and keep shooting until you de-aggro. just move away a distance and come back. 1) shulker not ejecting properly. - as the FAQ says, it is either the shulker facing the wrong direction, or the farm is facing the wrong direction. I personally did not have an issue with the farm orientation. just make sure you have the afk chamber directly south of the farm, make sure the slabs in the cramming section is in the south, and the boats are in the north. the boats must be facing south into the fence post. now the problem I personally had was shulker orientation. even if the shulker has never entered a boat and was carried in a minecart the entire time, if it goes through the nether, it more than likely had its orientation messed up. after you get the shulker near the farm, get it out of the minecart, and do the boat orientation trick at 12:48. next part is anecdotal evidence. i dont have proof nor do i know how it works.even if i was pretty sure the orientation was correct, the shulker seemed to not like to eject properly anyway. im not sure why, but sending in 2-3 shulkers instead of just the 1 allowed at least 1 of the shulkers to teleport into the cramming chamber. kill any shulker that doesnt make it into cramming chamber, and as long as the boats dont break, you shouldnt have any more shulkers moving out of the cramming chamber. 2) shulker keeps teleporting to the top of the farm rather than into the dupe chamber. since not a single comment ive seen clarified this, THIS IS AN INTENDED MECHANIC. the shulker in the center dies all the time. it needs to be replaced by another shulker. this is resolved by the piston face having the max teleport distance from the cramming chamber when closed, and pushed into place when the piston extends. aka when the shulker makes it to the top of the farm, it will eventually make its way down into the center. you could probably instigate this to happen quicker by hitting it a couple times and throwing health splash potions to keep it alive. 3) rates are bad - as mentioned in the faq, make sure to do this kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWatgIt9g72dh5Y . if you don't, you will notice there will be no projectiles flying in the middle column of the farm. i also found out that i clicked the note block too many times and it started going crazy fast. make sure its one piston activation once a second or so and not faster. if it goes super fast, you did it wrong, break an observer to stop the action, and replace it back. then hit the noteblock once. what I guarentee will happen is that a shulker will immediately spawn where you broke the observer so put the observer in your off hand. kill the shulker and immediately place as soon as the shulker is dead or you will have another one in its place half a second later. last cause of bad rates is going to be snowmen related which will be gone over in the next point. 4) snowmen and its shennanigans- if the snowmen are not firing, you have to replace the trap door to the north side of the farm instead of the south. to replace the trap door, bridge to the south side of the farm of the snowman chamber, destroy the chests and the hoppers, and take out the staircase directly infront of the chests at head level. remove the trap door and place it directly across from you. put the staircase hoppers and chests back and remove the bridge before more shulkers show up on your bridge. HOW TO REPLACE IF SNOWMEN DIED- you will need 1 piston and 1 slab. bridge out to the south side of the farm, destroy hoppers and chests. make a small platform directly to the south to stand on. destroy the two staircase of the chamber. add bottom slab where the top staircase was. destroy 2 corner stairs to the left of the chamber. add a piston facing north to push snowmen. the piston and slab should be diagonal to each other if you look at side profile. now put snow directly under slab, 1 snow to the left of that, and 1 pumpkin head to the left of that. if you did it correctly, the snowman should pop up stuck in the slab. activate piston with lever or button and it should push the snowman into the chamber. repeat until you fill the chamber, delete the piston, add a bottom staircase under the slab, destroy slab, and reset farm. if the trapdoor above the snowmen is placed on the south side, then you will have to do the same thing on the north side instead. also make sure that the trap door is open. the trapdoor should open to the opposite side of where youre looking in. on a side note, i found out that I didnt place a scaffolding right above the snowmen which allowed the shulker to constantly kill the snowmen.

MANY people including me struggled building this farm. Things to check/do 1. Slab is placed at 9:31 2. Transport 3 shulkers (or transport 1 and dupe ot before pitting it in) 3. Just wait a few mins before doing anything to the shulker

**IF YOUR BOATS ARE GETTING DESTROYED, READ THIS** VERY IMPORTANT: if you attack the shulkers (Thorns enchantment count as an attack), this will make all shulkers from the top of the farm attack you (instead of the golems) and break the boats, breaking your farm. It's not gonna break instantly, it's gonna break slowly, so make sure to check the top of the farm to see if the boats are still there. this can be fixed placing the boats again, it will be a little painful with all the shulkers there, but it's relatively easy (you will have to clear some of them) OTHER IMPORTANT TIPS: - always keep the door closed, this will prevent shulkers from teleporting to the door (if you forgot the door open and they did teleport, DO NOT attack them, just close the door and they will teleport back to the farm) - if you're using soul sand in the afk area, remember to USE BUTTONS underneath and to the side of the soul sand to prevent teleports - if you're using triple slab in front of you + trapdoor underneath your feet, remember to PUT ONE BUTTON to the side of the triple slab (this didnt work consistently for me, so I recommend the soul sand instead) - DON'T FORGET to put a top stair against the scaffolding above the lever to close it off, this will prevent golem issues (dying/not throwing snowballs) in case you accidentally attack of the shulkers (fixing the boats is much easier than fixing the golems)

The farm works! The boat will break if you fly around or appear near the top of the farm. The bullets are breaking the boats, so either build a roof of slabs + buttons over the top so the shulkers at the top can't see you or tell your base mates to stay off the top.

Hello to everyone that's having trouble getting the shulker inside the farm When I tried pushing the shulker in the farm with a minecart that it didn't work. I was a little confused but found out from watching the video again that you need to get the shulker in a boat near up in the farm (10 blocks or so up) then make sure to face the shulker to the south. There should be a blue line coming out the shulkers face when you click f3 + b so line that up in the southern direction (line it up as best as you can place a block if you need to). Then break the boat and all the blocks around the shulker then finally break the final block under the shulker. If all is good the the shulker should teleport upwards towards the boat area. But after a while the shulker should come back down and go towards the trapdoor area. If you make a large enough platform you should be able to use a lead on the boat and let the shulker hit you so you start to levitate then you fly up and set the boat down on the platform. Hopefully this helped someone.

I love its 1.20.4 proof. For the strangest reason ever since 1.20.4 came out i never switched versions after that. Sadly i built Ending credits scaffolding farm and it broke because at first i didnt know about the bug. So this farm will work great. (Also no hate to ending credits he is great)

Built this Farm (1.21), but the Shulkers strictly do not teleport from the boats to the two final spots. Directions and orientation checked, no issue here. They just consider those spots to be no place to teleport to. Any suggestions?

Same here, the shulker won't go down to the slabs at the bottom and just stays up at the yop of the farm. I've tried to spawnproof the top and then make a small place right next to the slabs so the shulker could go there and then take it away and just leave the slabs to spawn on, but this didn't work either and the shulker went to one of the schaffolding floors instead. When I later removed the spwanproof at the top of the farm, the shulker went there intsantly. Would be nice to get some help with this

This is an insanely good quality video. After building the farm it’s EXTREMELY fast. I spent the first couple minutes with the farm OFF (by mistake) and got 9 shulker boxes. When i turned it on it took about 15 to get 2 stacks of shulker shells or something ridiculous. Lmao i dont think ill have to use the farm for a long time after just firing it up once

I searched everywhere in the comments but can't find a solution for my problem: the shulker is in the correct place, the snow golems are firing at it (I see it taking hits) but it doesn't shoot any bullets and therefore nothing happens.... Built this in a SMP server in the main end island and the mob cap is always full so can't build any other mob farms. I have recently built a typical enderman xp farm distant from the main end island but for some reason endermans are not spawning. I checked this in a creative world with killing all the shulkers inside the farm and after that the enderman started to spawn normally. For clarity, we did not put any chunk loaders on the main end island to load the shulker farm all the time.

Built this in 1.21 outside an end city. I have 13 golems in the chamber and made the change up near the boats with the sign and the button. After afking for a full in-game day (20 mins) I have just under 13 stacks of shells, ~800, which is ~2400 shells an hour. I am very confused because I thought shulker farms were broken/nerfed heavily? This is a fantastic design. Heavily recommend!!!

Awesome farm, my only suggestion is to extend the AFK chamber with some stairs and slabs (and fill in the space with signs so shulkers cant teleport inside) because otherwise it seems that the shulker bullets can occasionally hit you through the door if you are pressed up against it. Other than that, works perfectly and super simple to build

Works very well in 1.21 I built this ferm in the end following your video and then added the 1.20+ patch. I moved 3 - 4 Shulker into the farm and everything works fine. I simply added a slab to the low wall in front of us in afk's room to avoid being shot at by the shulkers. if you build it in the end, don't forget to destroy the surrounding chorus plants, otherwise your shulkers will teleport onto it.

Spent like 10 hours today trying to get this to work, the easy part was building the whole thing, took me like maybe 1.5-2 hours, spent the rest getting the shulker into the farm and trying to fix it. Even got a second shulker in there, followed a bunch of tips in the comment section, nothing worked (moving the trapdoor to the north side, pushing the snowmen with a piston against the trapdoor, checking if everything is facing the right way, etc.). I have never in my life been so disappointed ngl, i spent so much time on this thing, being extra meticulous (i basically paused the video after every block placed and double checked).

At first the farm not working, i try to resolve the problem, and found that snow golem make some block freeze become ice, so the gollems can't attack the shulker. when i break that freeze ice, gollems start attacking the shulkers, and the farm working as well. I have built this farm on minecraft java version 1.20.4 Moving the shulker was pain, i almost surrender to make this farm, but once the shulker get into the farm, and the farm working, it just like our pain has been paid with lot of shulker shell Thankyou for the tutorial and explanation, great video 👍

Great video as always! Quick question, if I want to build more of these farms to boost the rates, how closely can I tile them? I know shulkers can teleport to a spot within a 17×17×17 cube centered on the shulker. So as long as we leave an 8 block gap between the farms(horizontally and vertically), I should be fine right? I might be really dumb at this but more scaffolding for the shulkers to "climb" yes shulkers within 8 blocks of the duping shulker will reduce the dupe chance. I just went into creative built this then built another half right beside it 8 blocks between duping chambers/chutes. The kill chamber of the second "module" ends up shooting bullets back into the first kill chamber if you turn off 1 side that side holds aggro and the other side shoots the shulkers in that kill chamber. I extended the built up walls but it just meant bullets hitting walls still not going at shulkers to duplicate. Acording to a rays works video shulkers share aggro in a 33x33x33 cube so 16 blocks between before you shouldn't get that targetting of the other kill chamber rather than supercharging the core it's in. It's kind of a case of diminishing returns the guys have come up with a great design that's simple and powerful increasing the size to twice the width you'd get maybe 3 "cores" but it's more complex to do and isn't going to return 3 times the drops. double width and length you might get 9 cores but you're not going to get 9x the drops if you want to do it go nuts but even building the I also swapped out the cobweb for powdered snow and works fine, even put powdered snow in the kill blocks to help kill off shulkers as I noted quite a few bouncing around the top level and leaving shells on the scaffolding but it also reduces the supercharger of all the shulkers at the top shooting down the chute at the shulker to dupe. I'd live with a few shells being lost and more supercharging. rainy day and I was bored just some stuff I tried out hope it helps

TIP TO PLAYERS HAVEING THEIR SHULKER STUCK IN THE TOP 1. I implemented the "efficiency fix" (check first comment) but it didnt help. 2. So i got 2 more shulkers (3 in total) and the farm started pumping out shulkers. Tested in a creative world and farm would always start with 3 shulkers. 2 should be enough, 1 if your lucky. Hope this helps. (I probably needed 3 because i oriented 1 of my shulkers the wrong way, ie, not south) Also not mentioned in the video, dont go up to look cus the shulkers will break the boats trying to attack you.

By far the best Design Out Here and the only one that works anyway😂 i searched a farm For my survival world and after Reading about endless issues with all the Others, i build this. Took me around a hour cause i build everything carefully, brought the shulker in and instantly, it worked. 1.21: The shulker does not want to seem to teleport to the piston/trapdoor area. It is stuck on the scaffolding, andd won't move. I've tried the boat trick (even though i always used a minecart), the dupe trick, and everything i could see in the comments and it still happens :(

Guys just put more shulkers in the farm to make it work. Therfore i reccomend that you make it in the end near a end city so you can get them in easily

Shulker Farm Built in: Version: 1.21 A fix to the common issue of the shulker not teleporting to the correct spot of the farm needs is the rotation fix. Beforehand, after putting a shulker into the farm I was encountering an issue with the shulker being stuck at the top of the farm, which was glitching and continuously moving between the scaffolding and boats. I finally got the farm to work after many attempts of killing the misplaced shulkers and replacing them. This time I aligned the shulker's line of sight directly straight into the south direction BEFORE putting it into the farm. This was mentioned in the video 12:54 and also in the pinned comment. However, since this is a short part I feel that many people (as well as myself) have overlooked the importance of it. Definitely give this a try if you are having similar issues. Also don't forget to create the changes from the video referring to the 1.20.5 update in the pinned comment. Overall, this farm performs amazingly in 1.21, and is insanely productive.

for all people having problems , We tried putting the shulked from the north side and it made a difference , atleast we think thats why. Our first shulker mupltiplied so we had 2 so that might be it aswell, we are a bit unsure. but try those 2 things @the achivist in 1.21

I might have done something wrong because every now and then i get hit from what i believe is through the door behind the afk chamber which throws me forward into the fire on the soul sand. Have you or anyone seen or heard about this?

M’y shulker is disappearing and reappearing. I had the farm working but then broke a scaffolding, I’m pretty sure I repaired everything but is it normal that he is teleporting up and back down (the one that I can see from the afk room) I still seem to get shells, idk at what rate tho

Thank you for the amazing tutorial! Just a fix on the AFK point. If you don`t want to get hit by shulkers, you can replace the wall with 3 slabs and replace the slab above your standing point with a trapdoor. That way, you wont take damage while being afk. :)

this farm was working yesterday and i got like 20 stacks of shulker shells but today it stopped working and the snow golems arent doing anything and there are just 2 shulkers at the top doing nothing (im using forge btw so maybe thats why)

Check the description or pinned comment, you will find a video linked titled 1.20.6 you need to follow the changes in the farm to get it to work, if you have already try checking if the piston is still flicking it might have stoped due to how chunks work

Guys if ur boats are breaking and ur shulker escapes its because u got thorns on ur armor which breaks the farm so remove all ur armor with thorns on

Two problems with the AFK chamber: 1. You can not enter shifting while on scaffolding. The client desyncs from the server and the player infinitely bobs up and down. 2. The shulkers can hit the player, which reduces efficiency of the farm.

I break the block in the afk platform and then replace it when I'm in the afk spot. I also put bottom slabs on the roof because shulkers were teleporting to it.

I am currently testing this farm in 1.20.4. Is shulker being able to shoot a lot while in the platforms expected behavior? It spews out stray bullet (avg 1 per 2-10 seconds) that went out of the boundary of the farm, even in the world download for me

I had problems with this farm where the shucker would always go to the boats at top, I fixed it by replacing the double slab underneath the trapdoor, the trapdoor with the piston, noteblock, and observers, with a dirt block. (I think it just needs to be a solid non double slab block)

The golems randomly decided not to shoot at the shulkers anymore. I see a fix in the pinned comment but when i tried it in a creative copy by pushing golems with pistons, water flooded and killed the golems. So be careful if youre doing it. Also i already got like 4 shulker box full of shells because this farm is that efficient so im not gonna fix it (yet :) )

No, since shulkers are spawned in set areas, being that in the end, they never despawn, unlike normal mobs whom spawn randomly.

try getting the shulker to duplicate, then positioning the duplicated shulker. also check ur boat alignment is correct. if both those things are done, and you've made the changers for 1.20.4 then the farm will work

I had that issue and only got it working by removing & replacing the noteblock/jukebox (paper, 1.21)

Any particular reason it's built in the OW? I mean there are not a lot of end mob farms in the game you can make. So I guess in terms of a server where multiple farms are running or being AFK'd at the same time, wouldn't it be preferred to have it in the end? if it's possible ofc Great farm btw!

thanks, nope would be about as laggy if in end, you would have to transport your shit back every time, and you can't chunkload (well you can ish in 1.21 now)

Most of the Shells Fall on the farm and do not fall to the collection system, is this normal?

@@EmdyMC well i don't have a suggestion but the issues were that each time he tried to get the shulker in it would just not teleport to that spot and end up somewhere random despite the fact he built the farm exactly as it is on the video and he had to make it spawnproof by spamming buttons every spot the shulker could teleport to except the one it was meant to and when it actually worked the shulker killed itself making the farm last 3 seconds
