You don’t have to break the nether portal, always put your valuables in a chest before heading in. And wear good protective armor, you can get good stuff in that place if you mine, better armor, better potions and XP, quartz give you tons of XP and they’re everywhere in the nether. It does take some getting used to and yeah that place does look scary haha. Great vid man thanks again!

I thought if you go thru the portal it will take you somewhere different each time unless you build another at the coordinates from the first one divided by eight?

​@@morpheusasmrgaming1959it will take you somewhere different if you create the portal at a different coordinate in the overworld, the portal will still lead to the same place even if you break the portal and open it again no matter how many times. The nether is basically the overworld(normal world) except divided by 8 which can be used to get to places much faster x8, although it is dangerous in every corner with mobs swarming in every area.

@@morpheusasmrgaming1959 as long as you do not break the portal on either end you will always come back to the exact same place. You don't have to rebuild any portals once you make one at your base. Also if you go through your portal again, it should put you in a spot very close to where it did last time so you can still rescue your stuff.

Always wear one gold piece of armor (I wear helmet). Bring fire protection armor if you have it, I usually enchant my boots with fire protection. Bring plenty of food. Fire resistance potions work as well. Do not break the portal, leave it. Build a base the second you enter the nether to protect yourself from enemies.

very nice video a few tips: Wear 1 gold piece (boots or helmet preferably) so regular piglins don't target you unless you break gold ore. A lava bucket would be handy if you are going to a bastion since Piglin Brutes (Piglins with the black outfit) will attack you no matter if you wear gold armor or not. A bow for ghasts and a Sword with Smite would be pretty useful since most mobs in the nether are considered undead. Another tip Nether quarts is a pretty decent source of xp. Also it doesn't matter that you destroyed your portal in the nether if you go through the portal in the overworld it will automatically build a new one in the nether and vise versa your items are most likely still there since the chunks haven't been loaded

I think someone else said it but, you don't need to destroy and remake the portal once you're in the nether! I think what you were reading was the personal explaining that every 1 step in the nether is 8 steps in the overworld (the world you normally are in), this knowledge is only useful if you planned to use the Nether to essentially make a 'highway' via portals. example: if theres an area far away in the overworld, if you went to the same location divided by 8 in the nether and built a portal, you would use 8x less time traveling to that location in the overworld, by just going into the nether and going to the 2nd portal! and yes, you can have more than 1 portal up, it'll always build 1 portal in the overworld and 1 portal in the nether and those two will forever be a pair meaning they'll ALWAYS take you to each other. like a pair of socks! also another useful tip because this has happened to me many times, if you do venture back into the nether, make sure to make a cobblestone room around your portal, because there is a creature called the 'Ghast' which is basically a big white flying head, and it shoots fireballs that will shut the portal down if they hit it, but those fireballs do nothing to cobblestone so you can use it as a protective cage for your portal in the nether!

When I watched the video on Portals I thought it meant that you never end up at the same portal on the other side in the nether so you have to make your own in the nether that connects to your world using that divide by eight rule. The video I watched was on how to get to a specific place fast in your world because you travel eight times faster in the nether. Thanks for the info.

You can go back to the nether and grab your stuff. I don’t know who told you to break your portal on the other side, but that’s a terrible idea. You need that to get back!! Also, don’t be ashamed to just run away. Keep an eye on your hearts (health) and make sure you stay away from any dangers when you are low health

I thought that if you go back thru the nether portal is will not take you to the original but to another location unless you build your own in the nether at the new coordinates from the original divided by eight.

@@morpheusasmrgaming1959no it will take you back. If you build another then it will take u to the coordinates displayed times 8 in the real world. I would write coordinates down once u are in the nether to make sure you don’t get lost. You got it!

When you create a portal and go through to either the nether, or back to the real world, you create a gateway between your portal, and one that the game creates. If you destroy your own portal you will no longer have a way back, unless you re-build and re-light a new portal. It’s a lot of effort for very little gain, unless you traverse a LOT of blocks. Either way, back yourself and learn your lessons and you’ll do fine! Thoroughly enjoying your content, keep it up!

The place where you spawn is harsh, very unlucky to spawn here. There's severals biomes in nether. The one where you are is not interesting you should mine a way trough the walls to another location in the nether. You should not break your portal. It's your way of going back to your location in the classic world. Another important thing is you need to wear at least a piece of golden armor to avoiding being attacked by a certain type of mobs in the nether. You can keep the rest iron but try to enchant your armor for a better protection

If you want some pretty good stuff, go fishing especially when it rains because you get better stuff, you can get enchanted bows, books and fishing rods that are the best in the game.

If you make a little farm for the farmer, he’ll automatically care for it and feed the villagers, as long as you have beds for them. It’s a trick I’ve always used in the past, it’s really helpful and you’ll have a unlimited supply of villagers!!

Tip you cannot sleep in the nether because if you put bed then press it it will explode

To make the portal make sure it’s 2 blocks length and 4 blocks tall on both sides with 2 blocks length on top then light the portal

i don’t know if anyone has told you but, if you were gold in thr neither like one price of gold armor they won’t attack you like the pig brutes and stuff will leave you alone. another thing don’t place a bed in the neither if you try to sleep in it, the bed blows up

@@morpheusasmrgaming1959 so basically you just need one piece of your armor gold. Could be helmet, chest plate, pants, boots. This is because all the piglins(not the zombie piglins) will start attacking you if you get near them without any gold on. But when you find a bastion(which is a certain structure you will find in the nether) they are full of piglins/piglin brutes. Piglin brutes will attack on sight as soon as they see you no matter if you wear gold or not. They are very very powerful and not the easiest to fight if you’re not used to it. So to clarify more on what I said about wearing gold is that there is things that will try to attack you no matter what. That’s including ghast, blaze, whither skeletons, and the magma cubes which killed you in the nether. Also if you bring gold ingots with you to the nether you can drop the gold in front of a piglin(make sure you wear gold so they don’t try and attack you) and the piglin will drop a variety of things for you to either consume or use for your liking. Yes iron is more powerful but you want to wear gold if you haven’t had much practice with fighting in the nether. Sorry for the long comment lol
