I think Puppet was talking about Podley and Admiral Bobbery. Podley tells the same exact story about how while Bobbery was out at sea, his beloved Scarlette died and he swore he would never go out to sea ever again. But, Podley had her letter, which she wanted her beloved Bobbery to read after she died, yet it wasn't until Mario shows up and then Podley decides to give MARIO, Scarlette's letter just to give it to Bobbery. Who KNOWS how long Bobbery was grieving for? Podley is an absolute jerk for not giving Bobbery, Scarlette's letter after she died. I'm sorry if anyone hasn't played Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door and spoiled the story, but, what Puppet was talking about reminded me of that game.
