Snow golems are useless and iron golems are to few and far between (they also need an increase in moves and smarts to truly be effective on their own)

The villagers look so smooth, they should definitely add this to the game, the village update was great, but villagers need to be more natural, imagine villagers riding horses and gathering materials, then watching pillagers and villagers have war.

@@StarWithAPencil unfortunately because guards as a profession really would've been nice to see. As cool as iron golems are they are expensive to make and very slow. The idea of building a villager army and having them patrol my walls just sounds badass.

It would also be cool to see the villagers and pillager both have extreme self preservation in a fight, as in they stay out of sight while loading bows, back up when the enemies get too close, stay close to their team and straight up try to leave the fight if the group runs out of resources.

I honestly think this would be a fantastic inclusion to be in the game. Giving villages RTS elements would give further reason to build and be involved with them. I know Mojang said they want to keep the villagers peaceful, but if revoking a rule is going to objectively improve building and creativity, then I think it's worth it.

There should be a way to keep them in your service like by giving them items/emeralds or having them level up like other villagers. Maybe have a separate job table for professional villager guards distinct from these militia villagers, so you can breed a standing professional army. Maybe utilizing the goat horn to command and organize separate platoons for greater tactical advantage against pillagers or other players with their own militia on a server. This mod has great potential for the future.

Thank you! This is what Minecraft needs. A guard mob that will defend your base besides snow and iron golems. You could continually pay them diamonds, iron, or gold which would help with the endgame

This needs to be real. There's nothing more frustrating that finding a village at the beginning and having to leave because you know the moment you go caving under the village they'll all die. As long as the guards get bottom tier gear and it's up to the player to upgrade it, it's not too OP and gives a village centered purpose to trading. Really dig this.

If you do another one with the guards, you should give them all protection 4 Netherite armor to see if they last against the higher level mobs. If their gear has limited durability, you may not know when it starts breaking.

This mod is one of the few that mesh well with vanilla minecraft. Like “3D Skin Layers”(Adds depth to the secondary texture over the main skin), and “Sapience”(Improves/expands upon Piglin and Hoglin AI/interaction). Like, you’d think these would find some form in the game, but don’t.
