It's aesthetically pleasing, but I keep wondering how quickly mobs will go over the slabs above the stairs and get in. If I might recommend an idea for another build, if you haven't done this already (I'm new here). A deep underground base, with enchanting room, nether portal room, various farms, grass areas, tree areas, etc. Those bases especially with wood+stone tend to be incredibly nice.

Tip: Build a cobblestone wall 2 blocks away from the outer entrances (place the wall on he third block) with a 2 by 1 spruce gate leading into the other 2 by 1 gate. Place lanterns at the corners of the wall and on the 2 sides of the outer gates and in between. Also place lanterns on the inside of the little compound wherever u want to prevent mob spawning. Also on the corners of the middle section of the base. I apologize if this is complicated, but its super useful to prevent mobs from attacking u. I also personally placed sweet berries on the inside as an outline to the base, not at the gates ofc, to harm endermen/players. If u have questions, just reply to the comment and ill try to help. ty for reading!

Another excellent vid Folli, I love the symmetrical design! Just a word of caution: beware that mobs can walk over the slab wall along the top of your stairways, bypassing your gates and ambushing you in the night! Maybe replace the upper slaps with oak fence or add another set of gates at the bottom of the stairways in your own builds (though skeletons would still be able to shoot you). I like the idea but some things that i would personally change if i did it myself: Since its a just below the surface base, i would actually make it more flat with the surface, maybe incorporating in a hill if i wanted to build up more; in the corners where you had the glowstone, i would instead add doors and dig out more rooms that are actually underground future expansion); aside from aesthetics, the entrances leave too much open for random mobs to just walk in, and with the fence gates, id prolly more likely just walk around them then be bothered to open them every time lol; and lastly, not a huge fan of one color, id put more into contrasting on the walls, similar to the cut off between painted walls and base boards. tldr: I like this as a basic entrance to the base while i expand it more in all directions.
