Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I used oak stairs on the bottom of each row for the roof, and when using shaders (haven't tested it without shaders on) it lets the light seep in, making it significantly lighter, so for anyone wanting natural light, try that.

Just finished building this amazing house in my medieval world! This tutorial was easy to follow and very straightforward. You are a natural teacher, Keralis! :) By the way, I would really love to see you do more of these medieval builds using Conquest. Also, if you use 1.7, Optifine and World Edit, you can access Conquest's extra blocks, which are called 'metadata'. There are literally probably like over a hundred extra blocks that you can place in this resource pack using world edit. I use it that way, and I'm just in love with it. Anyway, stay awesome and diamonds and love!

Please use the default texture pack while building because just because it looks good in your texture pack doesn't mean it will look good for other people using different ones
