Unless your bedrock the iron farm don't work

You can make a crude one in a dirt hole the first day of your world, but i usually spend the first couple days to try and make it look nice and also set the villagers up as traders. Usually the first weekend of a new realm, I'll have a trading hall with 80 villagers powering an iron farm, it's always my first priority right away lol

The iron farm is a very nice early game AFK farm. Before anyone builds this they should know a couple things: There are two scenarios that i have found so far that causes the iron farm to malfunction, (the malfunction being that the golem does not spawn within the 3x3 dirt section.) 1. if you sleep near the farm while it is active 2. and if you roam to far away from the farm. Not sure if its because im playing java 1.21 instead of 1.20. But as long as you are near the farm while the zombie is scaring the villagers and you dont sleep or roam too far away the farm should work. Since you can't roam far at all and can't sleep, I suggest you use the iron farm stricly as an AFK farm. (Make sure your in a safe place while AFK) As for the other two farms they work perfectly. Edit: I found out that the golem can somehow spawn on the elevated trap door above the bed that is metioned at 11:22. Make sure when you elevate the trapdoor. Remove the original trapdoor first then place a temporary block on the bed on the trapdoor on top. Then remove the temporary block. (Dont place under slab as shown in video) If golems stop spawing for some reason, try reloading ur world.

To everyone... Some of the villager changes have already been implemented like not being able to cure them more than once for cheaper trades. I recommend starting your world in 1.20 and getting all your villagers ready first, then use MCA Selector to delete the chunks you've not built in, then reload your world so you can update to the new stuff. Otherwise you won't be able to farm villagers or get the cheap trades...

Bedrock, for the iron farm, my zombie just dies as soon as the sun is up, even with a bigger platform over his head, and also the zombie does not seem to be scaring the villagers, they just go back to sleep. Everything else is the same.

the requirements for iron farm in bedrock are different. it needs at least 10 beds, 10 villagers and each one of those villagers have to access or interact with workstations. only 1 villager needed to detect the beds. not required zombie at all.

The food farm may not work on Bedrock, because the passive villager has food in his inventory. For the best results, use a brand new village you isolated and grew from a baby, and you are sure doesn’t have any food.

Great vid Chappy. On the first farm dig down and across to make a water steam for catching and moving the babies away. I suggest that after you have the furnace that you smelt a heap of logs for fuel and torches. Then put torches in and around the farms, this gives light at night which promotes faster growth. Also slab roofs over them to protect them from lightning strikes turning the villagers into witches. I'm surprised you didn't make a cow and/or chicken crusher. Keep up the great content ❤

If I am not mistaken, this iron farm doesn't work in bedrock :/ I followed every other farm tutorials here before and the only one that didn't work was iron. Then someone in the comments said it indeed didn't work. I had to build one with 20 villagers inside lol. Works like a charm tho. I don't know if it has changed since but it was at most a couple months ago

Iron golems only spawn in bedrock when there are beds for every single villager (everyone linked to a bed) and most of the villagers have worked recently. There needs to be at least 20 villagers. In Java, villagers can summon iron golems through gossiping or panicking - the farm he made utilizes panicking of course, so it won't work in bedrock.

Any difficulty! The only time you have to worry about difficulty is when trying to zombify and cure villagers... In hard or hardcore they ALWAYS turn to zombies. On medium or easy your villagers may die before turning to zombies from the dmg they take when getting smacked around

If you're building the iron farm near a village, I assume it whould mess with the natural golem spawn rates. How far outside the village would you have to place it in order to have both naturally spawned and farmed golems?

Communication and checks for golems extends to 16 blocks... So they check within a 16x16 area to see if another villager is requesting an iron golem, or if another golem is present. This is why on any 4x to 16x iron farms, each villager pod has a 15 block gap in between villager center. (This is why I usually push iron farms to the outskirts of a village like I did here. This will keep wandering iron golems from interfering with the farm.)

I think it would Work with multiple platforms, but it probably wont increase efficiency. The only thing that would make it more efficient ist Killing the Iron Golem fast, because the cooldown for a new Iron Golem wont start If there is one near the villagers. But i am Not 100% Sure, i am No expert

Would the villager breeder work with wheat I spawn in a savanna and my village only has wheat and 2 villagers or will I have to manually do it with bread? I don't remember for sure but don't they turn the wheat into bread and then trade that which should work...Right???(Update:found pillagers hut and snuck into the top and the chest had potatoes so I'm goo bud still would wheat work?)

Yeah, it's sad, man. Although every farm works here except iron. Look up for bedrock iron farm. It requires a lot more but it isn't that hard if you already managed to get the villager one. Also, beetroot farm, best farm!

If your playing on Bedrock, this iron farm won't work. It's a Java only farm. Villager mechanics are different.

I don't think the golem farm works on Java no more, the zombies despawn and the villagers don't panic with the zombie even with the previous golem. I've been at this for 5 hours and still nothing. Thats how it works... The only time it will be different is if you open this seed in a different update version on MC...... my 1.17 hardcore world started me in a field of trees... The same seed in 1.20 starts me in the same co-ordinates but the field of trees is now an ocean lol

Your playing for mid game stuff now, getting a gold farm together, finding apples, making potions, all this is mid to late game. Start grinding that gold farm, I also have a tutorial for a potion brewer on this channel

The way to cure Zombie Villagers is use a splash potion of weakness on them, and then use a golden apple. That way they'll turn back into normal villagers, and not only that you'll earn an achievement called "Zombie Doctor", so when it's night time, be sure to give them a roof over their heads to prevent them from burning in sunlight.
