Just found this video because I was thinking of making an IMS build myself. I work at IMS and I've raced there a few times, too. I'm astounded at all the detail you captured. I don't think my build will match this. Have you ever seen a race in Indy?

I've been there about 3 or 4 times for some porsche events and the 8 hour, but this was built well before getting to go and see it in person

Hey Mike I'm building this track now! It's the 1961 version however, and the frontstretch is made entirely of bricks! Plus I even built the 1961 Indy 500 lineup on the frontstretch!

Well I think by minecraft standards it's pretty close to scale, though I still had to shrink some parts of the infield so it's not 100%. Also can't wait to see your build :)

Nikieplays​ I just finished building mine. But I realized this: I missed just about everything. The two part grandstands, size (mine is super tiny compared to yours, if there ever was a size comparison, mine would be, like, 1/4 mile compared to what other people can do), the main building, all the grandstands themselves, even the concrete walls (I made them out of wood instead). Also, pit lane. I made the pit wall from fences and I made the pits way too tiny. They only had 25 spots. I wanted to hold a horse race on it, but I changed my mind with the terrible skill I have in building tracks. Especially considering pretty much everyone I watch on videos always does 1000 times better than me. I suck at this stuff. I try to build a track just about every day, but they always suck. Yeah, I should probably just stick to building my usual super tiny houses and stuff, with everything crammed into one tiny room. That's what I need to do. Just stop trying to do this stuff altogether.

I can tell you the middle plaza area behind the Pagoda is accurate. One time my school took a field trip to Indy and we got a exclusive tour around the Track and Plaza and even inside the pagoda.

It's always a possibility, though my building of tracks has been stopped for the time being. Just havn't found the inspiration or interest as of late, plus I've been fairly busy. But I may have something else planned racetrack wise that might be interesting.

Kiss the bricks! Indy is smaller than Talledeiga. Talledeiga is 2.66 miles, while Indy is 2 and a half.

How long did your build take? Before when I built tracks especially around Indianapolis I had longer breaks between build days, so it took slightly longer.
